Chapter 13Pam woke, stretched her arms out above her head and for the two seconds before she opened her eyes, she was in that perfect state of bliss balanced on the edge of sleep and waking. She pulled a thick warm blanket up to her face and smelled the faintest lilac scent. It didn't smell like her blankets and with that thought she realized that this wasn't her bed. Her eyes snapped open and she looked up at a plain white ceiling, turned and saw a desk with everything neat and tidy. Even the books sitting on the corner were stacked with the largest at the bottom and the smallest at the top. Am I dreaming? She closed her eyes and opened them again. The room looked unchanged.
