Chapter 5Writing about scary things while sitting in public made me feel oddly self-conscious. I kept looking around but no one knew what I was doing. They couldn't see what I was writing. And what I was doing wasn't any different than any other student in the Cab building. At one of the tables an Asian guy had papers and books spread out on a table, madly scribbling away notes. A girl in a green hoody, splattered with white paint, a spike piercing her bottom lip, and a pony tail sticking off the top of her head, cradled a tall coffee in both hands and inhaled the steam. Another girl slumped in one of the stained, padded chairs reading a paperback novel. It looked like a romance, with a couple in bed on the cover. I could just make out the title, Watching You Sleep. It looked interesting,
