A meteorite fell from the sky and hit Earth. After scientists and other experts discovered it, it was kept hidden from the public. A mysterious outbreak suddenly occurred around the world after a couple of months. An unknown virus started to spread, which caused the infected to be aggressive and violent, killing other people by ripping them apart and eating their flesh.

As the virus starts to succumb to Earth, will a group of survivors restore the way of life and develop a cure? Or will the civilization that the Earth once had come to an end?

Prologue
It's been 3 months since the outbreak. I currently live on the rooftop of a 3-storey apartment. In the next few days, I might start looking for a new place to stay. The food and supplies in this area are running low. If I want to stay alive, I have to keep moving. —Rory I closed my diary and stood up from my makeshift chair. I went to the edge of the building looking for any signs of the dead or living. The rain started to fall as I was scanning the streets. I immediately returned to my diary and placed it inside my bag. As I went inside my tent, I suddenly remembered how everything started. I sat inside the tent as I stared outside. Everything was still vivid and clear. It was also a rainy day when the outbreak started. I was on my way to pick up my sister from school. The streets are filled with chaos. People are screaming, running, and gunshots can be heard everywhere. A lot of military trucks are also passing by. Unfortunately, my car crashed when an ambulance hit me. After I regained my consciousness, I was hanging upside down in my car. I opened the compartment and grabbed my gun, then I forced myself to get out. The skies were already dark and the rain finally stopped. As soon as I was outside, I immediately started looking for a ride to steal. I approached a four-door sedan nearby and broke its window using the butt of my pistol. But before I could even get into the truck, someone grabbed me and both of us collapsed to the ground. It was one of those things. It tried to bite me by pinning me to the ground, but I was able to push it away. I took a step back and separated myself from it. I raised my pistol, but before firing, I realized it was a man dressed in a nurse's costume. He had to be the one who was inside the wrecked ambulance. The man's white uniform has been splattered with blood. His eyes were all dark, and as he approached me, he snarled and opened his mouth. I shot him in the centre of his eyes without hesitation. He collapsed on the ground, lifeless and drenched in his own blood. The virus must have done it. I approached the lifeless body of the deceased man. Because I'm a mercenary, I'm used to killing people. This, however, is not human. Could this really be the start of a zombie apocalypse? There are still a lot of unanswered questions in my thoughts, but the most important thing right now is that I get to my sister. I got into the car right quickly, stepped on the gas, and drove away. But it was too late when I reached the school where my sister was. It was already burning, and military choppers and trucks started to move away. The trucks seem to have rescued survivors. As I approached one of the trucks, a soldier stopped me and raised his gun. Soldier: Don't move! Put your hands behind your head and turn around!! I stopped and followed his orders. Rory: I'm looking for my sister! The soldier didn't respond, though I could hear him approaching. Suddenly, gunshots filled the air. Soldier: Oh s**t! I turned around to see what they were shooting at. From the distance, a horde of dead-like figures started to come toward us. These figures weren't running, but we were obviously outnumbered. Their eyes were all black, and blood oozed from their mouths. Some of them have dislocated body parts, but it doesn't seem to bother them. And others have holes in their bodies, but they aren't dead yet. Not again. I stepped back as the soldier who raised his gun on me had already joined the others killing the horde. The truck I was about to approach had already left. Rory: Mikayla!!! It's too late. I ran to my car only to see that it was surrounded by the infected. And now they're coming to me. I raised my pistol and shot one of them in the head. Its lifeless body dropped along the pavement. I stepped back and looked at their number. I knew my bullets wouldn't be enough. The soldiers couldn't also hold off the wave of zombies that were coming. So I ran along the alleyway and escaped the scene. Since then, I've been searching for my sister. Walking between cities.I'm on the lookout for a safe haven where the military could have taken her. Unfortunately, the dead have already overtaken all of the evacuation shelters I've seen. Finding her is the only thing that matters now. I know she's still alive. I just know.
