Sitting on the rooftop Ryder watched as Scarlett paced back and forth with her arms crossed on her chest. Sighing he spoke, "You need to calm down. You suck at controlling yourself. If you don't get a hold of yourself, you will give yourself away. You were a second away from exposing your fangs in front of her. Fortunately she didn't notice when your eyes flashed."

Scarlett shook her head,

"How the f**k is this possible? Why me? I'm trying so hard to keep a low profile and now the Princess of this fuckin' country is after me? Did I betray my country in my last life? Why am I being punished?" Scarlett was annoyed and frustrated. Although Ryder didn't know anything about Scarlett's past but seeing her so agitated and anxious about her identity, he figured she was hiding in Ceben, from something or someone.

"Alright, calm down for now. We can figure a way out. It's not like just because the damn princess wants you to be her roommate, you have to oblige, moreover you have already moved in your apartment with your sister and never applied for the dorm service. Breathe and relax, Scar." Ryder handed the flask to Scarlett as Scarlett chugged down the entire flask in one go.

Scarlett took a deep breath in and out, in and out,

"Alright, what do we do now?" Scarlett turned to Ryder as Ryder smirked at her.

"Before dealing with the enemy, we need to know everything about them."

Scarlett rolled her eyes at Ryder.

"What enemy? I never fought with her. Although I'm mad at her but logically it's her bad luck. She conducted a special little contest to select her roommate and did background checks but she ended up choosing a vampire to be her roommate. Funny, isn't it?" Ryder laughed out loud as Scarlett joined him,

"Yeah, a mere human -the prey chooses a vampire -the predator to be her roommate. The irony of the situation." Scarlett chuckles,

"She doesn't even know that we exist."

"Lemme tell ya about the Royals now." Scarlett turns at Ryder as Ryder explains seriously.

"Ceben has always had it one bloodline since start -the La Cran's. The Cran's were very powerful, they ruled for the longest. When David La Cran was in power he married and had a son, Bryce La Cran but he later fell in love with some woman and that woman gave birth to Rufus La Croix, Rufus took her mother's last name La Croix. Rufus La Croix was the half blood and wasn't the rightful owner of the crown but he overthrew Bryce La Croix and took over the crown. Rufus later got married and had a son -Deven La Croix, who is the current king of the country. Deven La Croix married Denise Waters and they had two children with a difference of a year.

-" Scarlett looked at him with her mouth wide open, "-Yes, Deven La Croix is the father of Artemia and Athanasius La Croix. Athanasius is the eldest and Artemia is a year younger than him. Now comes the interesting part, a legendary love story which only we -the supernatural creatures can understand.

At this point Scarlett became extremely curious, "What love story?"

Ryder continued,

"Ceben has another Royal bloodline -the Vampire bloodline, which is kept a secret. Only officials with higher status and another few people know about them. So the one having the royal bloodline of vampire is Caera De Luca and guess who her mate is?" Scarlett looked at Ryder in awe, "Tell me already. I'm getting goosebumps."

Ryder smirked, "Deven La Croix, the mate of the royal vampire Caera De Luca."

"Oh my holy Jesus Christ! that's that's... I'm speechless. So Caera De Luca is a vampire and her mate is Deven La Croix the human king? That's unbelievable! So what happened next?" Scarlett was shocked to her very core.

Ryder looked at her and continued, "What do you think happened? Ofcourse, Caera snatched Deven from Denise and you should already know nobody can deny the mate bond. Resisting the mate bond is not just possible. Denying your mate can almost kill you. So the poor Denise La Croix couldn't do anything about it, she knew about the Vampires unlike her children who has no idea about us, supernatural creatures. Those brats don't even know nothing about all of this. When the next in line prince inherits the crown only then will he have the authority to know about the Vampire and the royal bloodline of Vampires. So Denise wanted a divorce but Deven and Caera felt sorry for her so they made her the consort and made some promises which are confidential."

Scarlett was processing all the information, "So you are telling me these kids have no idea about Vampires but their parents do? The country has no idea about the Vampires but only the higher authorities do?"

"Bingo!" Ryder exclaims as Scarlett sighs.

"This is so messed up. How do you know all these?" Scarlett questioned Ryder.

"I'm the next in line Alpha of the biggest pack in Ceben. If I won't know, who will?" Ryder raised an eyebrow at Scarlett as Scarlett chuckles, "Narcissistic brat."

Ryder stood up and dragged Scarlett towards the door, "Let's go back, we need to talk to that naive princess."

Scarlett sighs, "I hate this. I miss New York."

Scarlett follows Ryder dejectedly towards the football field.

"Wait, Where are you taking me?"

Ryder turns back to look at Scarlett,

"There is a football match and that is exactly where Artemia is right now."

"How are you so sure about it?" Scarlett raises her eyebrow at Ryder.

"It's his only brother's match, ofcourse she will be there to cheer for him."

Scarlett nods and follows Ryder. Ryder leads her towards the empty seats in the bleachers.

"It has already started." Scarlett states as she looks at boys playing in the field as the crowd goes berserk when a guy scores. "It's so crowded here." Scarlett turns to Ryder as he sits beside Scarlett.

"It's the next in line prince charming playing football, the crowd is a given."

Scarlett scans the crowd as Ryder taps on her shoulder, "There she is."

"Where?" Scarlett follows his gaze and her grey eyes land on two figure walking up towards two guys.

"There she is."
