Chapter 10 After a rousing session together, the two tended to the horses and settled in for sleep. The next morning, they got an early start. Only two hours of riding passed before Ken suspected they were being followed. She heard noises in the forest to the right. She thought at first it might be a dirt dog or perhaps a pack of them, but when she abruptly halted both mares, the noises stopped, too.
