Chapter 11
When they reached the outskirts of Cleveland, everyone was exhausted. The group crowded into an empty mansion. They filed into the main living room, where they could benefit from a large fire in the hearth. The animals were placed inside nearby, dirt and all, to keep them from dying in the cold. It snowed heavily when they arrived, and it didn’t look like it would stop any time soon.
With little room for tents, the group decided to rest out in the open together, in sleeping bags and blankets. This choice put a damper on Ken and Yuuki’s nightly closeness.
