LOVE WITH OBSTACLES

"A day without love is like a day without sunshine" "Waking up alone ...again no one to say good morning to me" I say sarcastically to myself as I got out of bed turning of my alarm and going to the bathroom to do my morning routine but first i need to release the pain in my abdomen. After that i went inside the shower after the shower i went to put on my regular outfit which mostly is a crisp white blouse, a black skinny jean, and my favorite pair of black flat and i wear my hair in a neat bun, and as always i never leave the house without my signature red lipstick. Normally I would eat breakfast nut im not feeling like it so I'll just leave for work. As i got to work i was greeted by my two besties Tracy and Greta.Greta is always the life of the party. She is the friend everyone wants to have, the one who always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. She is generous and selfless, always willing to lend a hand or offer a listening ear. She has a way of brightening up any room she entered, and people were drawn to her infectious energy and positive attitude. Despite her tendency to be a bit manipulative, she was ultimately a loyal and caring friend who could always be counted on. Tracy was the opposite of Greta in many ways. She was quiet and reserved, but always kind and considerate. She is a loyal friend who is always there for those she cares about. She is thoughtful and introspective, often offering wise words of advice and comfort to those who needed it. She is a steady and reliable presence, someone you could count on in any situation. Her sense of loyalty and compassion was unmatched, and she is s the kind of friend everyone wished they had. "Hello baby"Tracy said as she kissed my left chick as Greta kissed my right chick. "You know Zuri if you want to get a boyfriend you need to get rid of that uniform....its not giving" Greta said eyeing me up and down with a disappointed look on her face. If it was my first day meeting Greta i would have hurted me but I'm used to her saying that every time it's like she is reminding me I don't have a boyfriend so I just ignore her. I am secretary for Mr.Dewey at a law firm company I've been working there for over 3 years.....and those were the worst 3 years of my life. Mr. Dewey is a fastidious and obsessive-compulsive man. He's the type of person who is always striving for perfection, and he expects the same from those around him. He's demanding and impatient, and he has little tolerance for anything that doesn't meet his high standards. But despite his tough exterior, he has a softer side for his wife only.....see how love can change a man. If only i had someone who would be only kind to me but what can I say i am bound to be alone. As I am busy doing my daily routine,I noticed that the people around me seem happier than usual. They're smiling more, laughing more, and just generally seem to have more joy in their lives. At first, I thought it's just a coincidence, but as the days go by, I started to wonder if there's something more to it. I started to notice little things, like the way people seem to light up when they talk about their loved ones. A sudden jealously covered me and i felt useless at the moment considering i have never had a boyfriend my entire life,it gets me to thinking whether if something is wrong with me. After work,Tracy and Greta ,took me out for coffee, because they said i was feeling down lately, and they're determined to cheer me up. Tracy starts off by asking Zuri about my day. I was hesitant to share at first, but eventually i end up opening up about my loneliness and how i feel like I'll never find love. Tracy was sympathetic and understanding, and she tried to reassure me that I'm a wonderful person and that the right person will come along eventually. "And by the way you do you need someone when you have us....you don't love us anymore?" Greta said pouting as she looked at me with what looks like a 'broken heart' face which makes me laugh. "Anyway did you hear that a new lawyer is coming to the company,for a few weeks.....i heard he is the CEO of this company......i cant wait"Greta switched from being a dramatic queen to a gossip queen quickly.
