2. Trick of Life

Jamie pov

I never knew that I can fall in love with anybody until I saw Mandy. She was sitting with her sick friend, did not notice my observation far behind her. I was hunting for a prey but then I met someone that changed my cold heart. Her caring to her friend moved my heart. My mother keeps on telling me to open my heart to find someone as my queen. It always been a hardest thing for me as snakes like to conquer other snakes. Yes, I am a snake. The knowledge and the magic that I have enable me to become a human so that I can prey them easily if they tend to kill me. Snakes do not want to kill, we kill to stand for our life.

"Hello, I am Jamie. I am a local doctor. Are you two all right?" She was surprised by my present but she managed to stay calm. I invited her and her friend to stay in my house so that I can know her better.

I gave some ointment to her friend, Annie. She was too cold that make her cramp and felt uneasy. I let her sleep in my sister's bedroom after we eat my famous chicken teriyaki. She slept immediately, I think she was really exhausted.

"Mandy, what make you come to this place?" I tried to know her more and asked so many questions about her. Soon I can know her childhood, school and her boyfriend. She has no intention to fall in love because she is a good daughter and student. Her eyes are so blue and shows her enthusiasm for her future. I really loves her good intention.

"Mandy, may I kiss you?" I can not stop thinking how much I want her so bad that I needed to make my move and came closer to her and hold her wrist and chin. She nodded and I instantly took the moment to taste her and fulfilled the lust that I felt for her. I knew I can not control it but her good intention slows me to hurt her. I know it will be hard for me to make her to be mine. We live in two different world, but I have to fight for it.

I was saying sorry if I was going to far in kissing her and proclaiming my love. I was glad that she was also fell in love with me. This could be a good start to make our love last forever. With my wisdom, I can live forever while human can not, that is why I need to create my next steps to make her mine, to be my queen and stay beside me all the time till death take her.

I took her in a bridal style to my bedroom, kissing and hugging her all night. I do not want this night to end that fast, I want to enjoy our moment before she continued her life. A medical school. I promised her that I will find a way to meet her soon. I also need time to explain my being and find a way to keep her by my side. Life and fate has tricked us, this endless love should not be end. I have to meditate and figure out ways to make this wish come true.

"I am looking forward to seeing you again Jamie. I do not how I will continue my life, but I know we will find ways to meet again and at that time, I want to be your queen." She smiled and finally slept soundly. I watched her sleep and held her hand. She did not understand my position. I asked her to be my queen and she agreed to, but one thing that she does not know that I am the king of snakes. I could be a treat to her life but I do not want to hurt her. That is why I can not make love to her. She will lose her blood as I enter her body.
