Annabella felt the family ties break when her parents were killed and started sobbing uncontrollably. Luna Quinlyn quickly rushed to her side and done her best to console the sobbing child while also worrying about her mate and all the others risking their lives to protect their pack.
After what seemed like days, they heard the click of the lock being released and all stood back waiting for what was on the other side of the door ready to fight if needed but warrior John was there to let them out and warn them to all stay inside the packhouse per Alpha’s orders.
As the Luna and John led them out Annabella was still clinging to the Luna and crying for the loss of her parents. As they all went and sat in the dining hall Luna Quinlyn asked the Omegas to prepare some food for everyone as she knew all that had fought would be hungry.
When the Luna turned back to her children and little Annabella she was alarmed to see the little girl staring straight ahead with her eyes alternating between gold and the usual bright blue. She tried speaking to Annabella but after receiving no response she mind linked her mate.
Annabella was hearing her wolf Mia speaking to her and telling her they must get away and hide-the rogues had gotten to close this time. As Annabella was only 7 and had never had contact with Mia her wolf she had no clue what was actually happening and was frightened at the thought of leaving her home and the Alpha and Luna who had always been kind to her and her parents who were now gone.
The Luna turned when one of the other children started crying and walked towards them. Mia then tells Annabella we must leave now before we are found. Not really understanding why Annabella darts out the side door unseen by anyone and dashed towards the border. With all the chaos no one notices the small scared little girl leave the pack lands.
Annabella runs all night taking small breaks when needed but being pushed by her wolf Mia to get as far away as possible. Finally near dawn the child spots an abandoned cabin in the woods and carefully goes in to seek refuge and rest.
Once she deems it safe and no one is around, Annabella curls up on a dirty blanket on the floor and cries herself to sleep mourning the loss of not only her parents and the safety of her pack.
