10 years later

Annabella Delroy was 17 years old and lived with a small friendly pack of rogues that had taken her in when she stumbled upon them when she was only 7 years old. Hey Mama I’m home shouted Annabella when she entered the small house where she lived with her adoptive parents, Mary and Alex Jones and her younger brother Cade. Where have you been for goodness sakes! Your Dad has been out all afternoon searching for you!

“Trish wanted to let her wolf Alexa and Mia out for a run mama-it’s been forever”! says Anna. “You know we’re not safe Anna honey-you can’t just take off like that! There’s all kinds of dangers honey!” “And you didn’t even let your dad or I know which way you were going!”

“Sorry mama, i promise to let someone know next time-it’s just been so long since Mia and Alexa gave gotten to stretch their legs and run. I’m sorry I scared you.” Well your home now so go get cleaned up for dinner says Mary.

As Anna trudges along to get cleaned up she thinks of the men her and Alexa encountered in the woods. They were not rogues and a few looked vaguely familiar to her. She didn’t feel as though they were a threat so decided for now not to mention it to her mom and dad.

Meanwhile back at the Cascade Falls pack the warriors are giving an update to the Alpha about the girl they had been watching since they found her after she ran away from their pack. “So she saw you this time?” Says Alpha Jacob. “Yet she didn’t seem scared-only curious”, replied head warrior John. “And her wolf is as big as an Alpha wolf and snow white with golden eyes-like nothing I’ve ever saw before!” said John.

“I will notify King Tanner at once-he’s been waiting for Annabella’s wolf to make an appearance and will probably want to bring her in where we can keep her safer from those wishing her harm.” replied Alpha Jacob. “How many warriors are watching the small rogue pack now?” “I left 15 sir-they are surrounding the small pack from a distance and not interfering in the running of the pack. So far, we believe only Annabella is aware we are there’” replies John.

“Good good, keep watching and guarding from a distance and report anything out of the usual back to me at once “ orders Alpha Jacob as he dismisses the head warrior and waits for King Tanner to pick up his phone.
