Maddison's POV I followed the river in the direction the warriors had directed me. Every twig that snapped under my feet made me jump. The nerves in my tummy were going crazy now, my heart was thumping faster and harder the closer I got towards the unknown. I must be insane. I looked behind me to see if the guys had followed me anyway, but they hadn't. They had more sense than me, it seemed. I had no idea what to even say to Jaxon's wolf when I did find him. All the memories of being with Jaxon kept invading my mind. I had never been so happy than when we had been together. I really believed that we could have had something beautiful, something unique to us humans. The love was intense, there was a deep understanding between us too and I had really looked forward to being bound with him
