We waited and waited in the corridor of the infirmary for hours to hear any news about Maddison's condition, barely saying a word to one another. My foot tapped anxiously on the floor, whilst I stared at the double doors of the theatre, dreading that bad news would come.
" Darling, she is in the best hands possible. Why don't you rest a little? I will wake you when we have news.", mother said softly.
" Mum, there is no way I can rest at a time like this. Why are they taking so long, something is definitely wrong?".
I was exhausted, physically, mentally and barely able to think straight. My wolf was still hiding, which was a good thing. I didn't want to feel his presence or hear him. He did this to our girl and I will never be able to forgive him.
