Maddison's POV
Tears streamed down my face as I rushed to find Ben. Wiping my tears on the sleeve of my cardigan and taking a deep breath to compose myself before I reached him. My heart ached with the image of Jaxon and Dominique together burned into my memory forever.
I approached the play area to see Ben playing on the climbing frames with the other children. He looked so happy. My heart broke for him too.
" Ben, sweetie, time to go!", I called out.
" Ohhh, just a little bit longer, please?", he answered back.
" Sorry little fella but we have to go"
"Fine" he said with a sulky look on his face.
He ran over to me and I picked him up and walked as fast as I could back to the car Eric had waiting for us. Eric was signaling with his hand to hurry.
" Luna, hurry please" Eric call
