The Strong One

Episode 20

It’s been a month since Diego’s back and things are starting to fall into place, Diego has basically moved in, we have both been getting closer again and the twins adore him, they have started calling him dada and he literally burst into tears.

Finally stepped up and it has been tough, I don’t know how I was planning to do it alone, Diego has been there for the twins and I all the time and even though I love it the thought that he will probably get sick of not being ‘free’ and then leave the us, just the thought alone made me near cry.

Since my little house only has 3 rooms Diego has been sleeping in the living room on the sofa since even though we have gotten closer we aren’t that close.

I checked my phone to only realise that it is 2 am, i really need a glass of water so I got up and out of my cozy bed and made my way to the kitchen.

I got my drink and I was about to go back to my room when I decided to check on how Diego was doing.

I entered the living room to find Diego cramped on my sofa, he looked so uncomfortable and I felt bad he had been sleeping like this for so long, his father invited him to stay at home but he refused to leave mine and the twins side.

“Diego.” I said slightly shaking him.

“Diego.” I said again noticing the first time didn’t wake him up.

“Yeaaa.” He said dragging the word sleepily.

“Come stay at my bed I’ll sleep here for a while.” I said helping him of the sofa.

“No you will be uncomfortable.” He said whinnying.

“I’m smaller than you I will be ok, come on.” I said and drag him to my room.

He lied down on my bed and I was about to make my way to the living room when he pulled me to him.

“Stay here too.” He said pulling me into the bed and covering me up and slowly put his arms around me holding me tight.

“Ok.” I said and then put my head on his chest and fell asleep instantly.

Like every other morning I woke up with the sound of my babies crying but the one think that wasn’t like every other morning were the arms around my waist and the legs tangled with mine.

“Diego, the twins are you you have to let me go.” I said trying to wake him up as I’m literally stuck.

“Ok.” He said slowly taking his arms off me.

“You can sleep a little longer.” I said to him knowing he’s tired but he got up anyway and came with me to check on the twins.

Since Diego has been here the mornings have been so much easier, I no longer need to rush one of the twins to then go to the other, now each one of us goes to calm down one baby and we swap everyday.

I finished Charlie fast as he is so easy to calm down and get ready and then I went to check on Diego and Charlotte in case they need help.

I stopped at the door frame and observed Diego with Charlotte.

“You are daddy’s little princess aren’t you little one, one day you are going to bring me so many problems, especially if you are as beautiful as your mother which I have no doubt you will be, I’ll chase all boys away.” He said to her and she just looked at him confused yet with a big smile on her face.

“Let’s go eat.” I said and Diego quickly turned and nodded and followed me to the kitchen.

I set Charlie down and made their bottles. I gave Charlie his and gave him a kiss and then went over to Charlotte and have her hers and said morning to my baby as I hadn’t had the chance to yet.

“What do you want to eat?” I asked Diego looking at him playing with Charlie who set his bottle down to mess around with his father.

“Toast would be fine.” He said smiling at me, Diego is the type of person to skip breakfast so I have to make sure he eats something otherwise he won’t eat at all.

I made us both toast and coffee and we sat eating peacefully.

Olly and Ella left 3 days after my birthday and Olly told us some news, he is finally engaged to his girlfriend Mila, I couldn’t be happier for him, he deserved it.

“Diego do you want to officially move in, my room is big for the both of us and I could put my things to just one side of the closet and so you would have space for your things.” I said to him and now waited for an answer.

“Yeah, I would really like that, only if you didn’t mind though.” He said with a smile coming from ear to ear

“It’s settled.” I said and smiled.

Arrived at the warehouse with the twins in between Diego and I, i was surprised when I saw some dudes which i could not recognise just standing there. I quickly turned Charlotte and Charlie around and pulled out my gun not giving anyone time to react, however before I shot anyone I realised one of the dudes was Jacob Mila brother, Mila who is engaged to Olly.

“Jacob?” I asked just to make sure as I hadn’t seen him in a while and he looked different, certainly a lot more muscular.

“Alex.” He said and came to give me a hug.

“What are you doing here and who are they?” I asked.

“Well my friends and I came to visit our friend.” He said pointing at Diego.

“How do you two know each other?” Diego asked annoyed and sounded very jealous.

“Do you remember a while back when I went to my uncles gang for a while, that’s when Jacob and his sister basically joined and I taught him how to fight.” I said proudly.

“Dude did you forget I’m gay.” Jacob said in a duh tone and Diego’s eyes widened in remembrance.
