Eliza's POV I sit on my bed with a heavy sigh and close my eyes. Images of happier times with my grandmother flash in my mind, up until the day she gave me her grandmother's pendant. She always had a way of scolding me while smiling. I recall seeing that same smile before she disappeared before everyone's eyes earlier today. My hand reaches up to clasp the pendant and I feel the warmth from it as I look down at it curiously. The emerald begins to glow and then the gold encasing shines bright as a line of words begin to scribble themselves across the inlay.
