Stefan's POV
"They took Bella"
Luca's words ring out in my mind and I look up to see him watching me with concern on his face. Alexis is by my side and she goes to place a hand on my back but I step out of her reach.
"This is on me. I was responsible for her. How could I be so stupid. I forgot all about her with everything that was happening!" I run my hands through my thick blonde hair and sigh heavily.
"You can't blame yourself Stefan. We're all responsible since she was trying to help all of us." Luca says to the room but it doesn't make me feel any better. My mind flashes to the last I saw Bella and her smiling face drifts in my mind plain as day. My chest begins to feel heavy as I shake my head while taking quick, deep breaths.
