Cersy Ironflayer is renowned for her strength and honor, and when the Alpha she has served for many years turned his back on her, she was only left with the option of surrender.

But is supposed to be her mate.

Chapter 1 - Cersy
I awoke with my hands bound in front of me with silver laced steel, I looked over myself. I was surprised to see I was still wearing my own clothing rather than the prisoner's garb, though my weapons were stripped from my person. At least the obvious ones.      With a quick shake of my head, I knew my hair was untouched, a sense of relief flashed through me, my honor was intact. With that settled, I looked to see what my cell looked like. And the answer was that it didn't look like a cell. Maybe a basement at best?      There wasn't the usual stench of a dungeon, no smell of forgotten blood or a prisoner's retching left unattended…it merely smelt of earth. It was actually refreshing, though the lack of bars and instead a mere wooden door said this wasn't the usual prisoner's cell. This was the interrogation room.    Great. I always loved that, when they gave me my own special room before I broke their faces in. Cersy Ironflayer wasn't captured often and didn't stay that way long. In fact, the silver in my cuffs didn't even bother me at this point, I had given myself and my Drakai silver burns around our wrists and ankles for this purpose. We had to, unfortunately, leave the throat alone…but I knew that today was going to be different.     I had surrendered, a rare spectacle for my record, having this be the very first time. But, I knew that the only way I get out of my current situation, without becoming a Rogue, was to join another pack. And starting off that conversation with dead bodies never ended well.     That's why I surrendered so early, as soon as the idiots were out of the way. My Kin and I surrendered peacefully, a first for Ironfang wolves in general. It made me chuckle thinking about Maven's face when I told her my plan. She had wanted to go in guns blazing, burn all of their corpses to ashes, and take over the pack for our own. But I knew better, I may have the Demons touch, and have Gods looking out for me- if name blessings worked- but I did not have Alpha blood. I came from a long and proud line of Beta's, the males and females of my family had always served as warriors to some capacity.     But that, unfortunately, meant, that no pack I ever started on my own would be recognized as such. Maven, nor any of the other unit leaders, seemed to care though. To them I was their Alpha already, I just knew better.     So here I am, sitting in an interrogation room chained to the floor, I think days have passed since we surrendered. But I also think I was put under with Night Bane, about the only thing that might still work on me, so I didn't remember a whole lot about that. Just that this room was new, and the event before I was captured.     My thoughts were interrupted by two males coming in through the door, "Raven will be down shortly, but he wanted us to get the basics first.." The blonde with green eyes said as he finished talking with his partner; a shorter male with brown hair only beginning to grow out from the training crop. New blood.     My gaze accessed the two of them quickly, the blonde's hair went down his back, he was seasoned and was most likely the mentor to the younger.  Four red feathers were laced into his hair, the marks of honor from his battles as the medic, he had served plenty but I was still confused about the Medic bit. He wasn't built like a doctor, he was built like a warrior and looked like he had fought plenty as well. He was probably just addressed as a Medic because he stopped his buddies from bleeding out when they were on their way to the hospital bay. But I would bet money that he had never actually practiced medicine in the hospital.     What I was really confused on though, was why in Phux's burning pits they would send a medic and his trainee to question a prisoner? Were they as inept as my own Alpha? Though, just the thought of Alpha Cain right now had the image of me gutting him for the pack to see come to my mind…a smile came across my lips from the daydream.     "Is she smiling at us?" The brunette looked like he was about to soil himself at the thought, the poor lad probably hadn't seen a prisoner before and here I was scaring him without even trying. I almost felt bad, but I really- really hated cowards. Like Cain, but this poor lad probably didn't deserve to get the piss scared out of him. He was only Fresh, he undoubtedly will harden over time. We all did.     My wolf, Anira shifted uncomfortably, named after the God of Destruction; Anira wasn't really cozy with the idea of having sympathy. Not in the 'I despise the weak' way, but rather the 'emotionally constipated way.' Even though the destruction was her name, that side of her really only showed itself in battle or when I was angry in general, the rest of the time she was a ball of emotional constipation. I hoped it would ease that part of her when or if we found our mate. Gods know we've waited long enough.     "No…" The blonde came to a squat in front of me, but out of reach of the chains around my ankles, I suppose he didn't want to risk being manhandled by a barbarian. Smart. "You are Cersy, correct?"     I merely nodded, my gaze meeting his steadily, waiting to see if he broke away. He didn't, he earned a small bit of respect with that small action. I liked people who didn't flinch at me.     "Why did you and your kin attack Paleclaw? I don't remember having an issue with Ironfang before this."     I spat on the ground in response, deliberately away from the man in front of me, to hopefully show the slight wasn't for him; "Cain is a coward. He sent us here to die under a false banner, while he hides in Summerglade with his mate." That was the moment that who I had presumed was the Raven they spoke of earlier walked in, I managed to get a glimpse of his long black hair braided in a ball at the nape of his neck, and his slender frame before I met his sand-colored gaze and froze.     "Mate." We both spoke simultaneously.
