The scream came from far away, but it did not seem urgent enough to make me pay much attention to it. I did the same with the next bucket, but, then looked into the bucket but now saw nothing except water, and a few specks of dust flying and slowly settling on the surface. I picked up one jar, the woman and the child inside. Holding itfar away from me, I poured the watter out and back into the bucket. The jar was empty, and the woman and the child were gone. I did the same with the next jar until I was left with only one that had two people at the bottom, a woman with a shaved head and a girl with brown hair and a lemon coloured frock.
