Mondays are not my favorite days. It’s a way of telling you the weekend is overtime for the real world. My alarm woke me up. I had a lot on my plate today; I had to help in the kitchen and clean the pack house for the young alpha welcome back party. Everyone was excited for him to return home, even if he had only been gone for over four years. The current alpha is ready to retire. That’s why his son is coming home. We all are prepared to see a change in the pack. Most of the elders are still living in the 80s. Ops, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Farrah Cain. I’m eighteen years old and can’t wait to meet my mates, my only love. I live with my parents: my mother, Rose Cain, who is a healer; my father, who is the pack doctor; my older brothers, who are pack warriors; Mitchell and Micheal, who are nineteen years old. I got out of bed before I got late for school. I grabbed a toast and ran out of the house. I got to school right on time before the first bell rang.
At lunchtime, I stood by my locker when I saw the Four M’s coming for me. I thought, “What do they want now?” Let me be more specific about the M’s. They are the ones that rule the school. We have Miranda she’s the Beta’s daughter Melissa the Delta’s daughter Marissa the Gamma’s daughter; and last, Maxine, the Alpha’s pride and joy. So you see, the group is made of mighty women. They don’t hide that they can use their titles for whatever they want. Imagine my surprise when they all stop before me, staring at me. Most Omegas would’ve been shaking or had their necks out, a sign of submission, but not me. I stare at them, which is why I end up getting slapped by Maxine so hard that I can taste blood. Maxine:” Know your place, you filthy omega.” Marissa:” You don’t look us in the eyes when we talk to you.” Farrah:” The only way you can get me to submit is by slapping or punching me.” Weak little bullies.” I got a beating right there in the hallway. Everyone just watched like it was normal; I guess it is, and no one goes against the four M’s. As I said, they run the school. School ended uneventfully, fortunately for me.
After my little run-in with the Four, I went home and started getting ready for the feast. Every Omega is running around trying to get everything done before the party. I’m moving slower than most since my wounds haven't healed yet. Thank God my best friend Allie is helping me right now to clean the alpha room, which I was supposed to do, but with me preparing half of the food, it’s overwhelming and taking up most of my time.
