Stonelli never said a word as they drove back to the compound. The tension in the truck was thick. Every man in the truck had some sort of beef with Stonelli, some worse than others. Stonelli hadn’t even been shocked when they yanked him out of the truck. He had known his time was coming and that the pack would be the one to end him.
Dru’s phone rang from the center console.
“Yeah?”
“All’s well. I’m headed back to the house now; police escort,” Jake said.
“Good,” Dru said before hanging up.
“Jake’s got company on his way back to the compound,” Dru told everyone else in the truck.
