Annie
“Annie! My God, what are you doing here? He’ll kill you!” Tayler whispered into the phone.
“I came to see you. Have you been sentenced yet?”
“No, nothing yet. I have some bullshit attorney from the public defender’s office. Honestly though, I know I’m a dead woman either way so it’s just as well. You shouldn’t have risked yourself to come find me.”
“We have to get you out of here. We can get away. We’re two smart, capable women. There has to be something we can do.”
Tayler looked down quickly as if she had something to say, but she wasn’t sure she should say it. Annie knew that look.
