“I’m fine,” Dru argued.
“You’re Alpha, so obviously you can command it, and we’ll listen. However, we all feel that you should wear your cuffs for a while. We can cut them so that you’re free to move your hands, but leave the cuffs on,” Terrell continued.
Dru wanted out of the stupid cuffs. He could still feel the darkness inside of him, but the longer Annie stayed, and the closer she was to him, the more it dwindled. Annie’s lightness was one like any other. They hadn’t even touched and yet her light was driving down the strongest darkness he had ever experienced. He had watched her the entire night as she had slept. Her peaceful, easy breathing had been like a well-oiled massage.
