When I returned back to the driver's seat, I found Mary still snoring loudly with her feet up the dashboard. So much for being a “chaperone.” After I had woken her up, she handed me the keys to one of Dorian's cars and we went to the parking lot with her still in her sleepwear—which was, apparently, a pair of silk pajamas. I thought she was joking when she asked me if I knew how to drive, but when she sat at the front passenger seat, strapped herself in, put her feet up on the dashboard and closed her eyes, it was pretty clear she wasn’t. And for the past hour, she had been asleep.
