Blurb

When loner werewolf Elias Graye opens his cabin door to an injured, half-shifted stranger, the last thing he expects is to find a mater.

But Caleb Thorn is no ordinary runaway. Born of royal blood and hunted for his refusal to succumb to their manipulative ways, Elias is his last chance at freedom. But there’s a price to pay for Elias’s silence hides a beast as broken and dangerous as Caleb’s past.

As the full moon rises, so does the heat between them. But soon enough they have to come to terms with their dark shadows closing in on them.

Their bond is dangerous. Their passion, forbidden.

And their love? It might just change everything.

chapter1
As the wind blew through the forest like a wounded animal, and Elias felt it in his bones. He always had. Living on the edge of Black Pine, his senses were sharper than most. Too sharp, some would say. The full moon was three nights away. He could feel the pull already something old, something dangerous, something beautiful stirring beneath his skin. Elias Graye had spent years mastering the beast within, keeping to himself, far from the bloodlines and politics of the old packs. He didn’t need a pack. Not after what happened. He didn’t need anyone. So when the stranger appeared at his doorstep just past midnight soaked from the rain, wounded, and clearly not human Elias felt every instinct in him flare to life. Not in alarm. In recognition. The man’s eyes glowed a strange silver in the moonlight, wild and haunted. His voice was low and rough. “I didn’t mean to trespass. I just… I needed shelter.” Elias should’ve turned him away. Instead, he opened the door wider. “Get in before you freeze to death.” The man stepped inside, dripping water onto the old hardwood floor. The scent hit Elias a second later—earth, pine, blood… and something else. Something ancient. Familiar. “What’s your name?” Elias asked, already suspecting the answer wouldn’t come easily. The man hesitated, then said, “Caleb.” Just a name. No last name. No pack. But Elias knew better. Lone wolves didn’t just show up here without a reason. And no wolf smelled like that unless he was hiding something. Still, when their eyes met again, Elias felt a strange ache in his chest like something long buried had started to stir. Something dangerous. Something inevitable.
