I swallowed the sudden lump in my throat. “Is it because of the first time you met?”
Gideon said he handled the problem. He didn’t say much details, but with the way Gideon talked, I think he did more than talk or threaten those vampires.
“How did you know? Has he told you anything?” He quickly asked.
I shook my head in response. “I don’t know all the details but I know that Gideon and you have met even before you found us. I recognized your scent on him.”
If I happened to interact with Gideon before he left town that day, he’d surely get a whiff of my scent, too.
Dominic looked at me intently and seemed to want to say something, but he deterred himself from doing so. “Just do as I say, understand?”
