Chapter 8

353 Words
*Grey’s POV* I helped my mate up off the floor and followed her into Alpha Richard’s office. However, Alpha Richard did not follow us there and looked over at my mate with a look as if to tell her that he would be right there if she needed him. With that, he shut the door and I assumed went back to greeting the few other Alpha’s that were arriving for the meeting. My mate sat down in a chair in front of Alpha’s desk and sighed. “I am Emery, daughter of Alpha Richard, and this is my best friend, Alice, and her father is my dad’s best friend and Beta.” Well, that explains why he just left us in his office without worrying or staying in here to join in on this conversation. “My name is Grey, and I am the future Alpha of the Violet Moon Pack, and this is my best friend and future Beta, Alex.” She seemed to relax a bit, however, what I was about to reveal to her would definitely throw us all through the wringer. “What I am about to say can not leave this room right now. I don’t know exactly what is going on or how you are, my mate. I met my mate, or so I thought, a few months ago. She’s not from my pack and come to think about it, we have not spoken much about her background. However, my wolf, as mentioned, believes something was wrong because he was in a haze of some sort feeling funny until now when he saw you.” I paused for a few minutes, looking between Emery, Alice, and Alex. Before I could say anything else, Alex spoke up and said that he thought something was up because of how things were between us. Plus, we hadn’t marked one another and that is something we wolves do on instinct right after meeting our mates. It is very unusual that we do not mark right away and it is often only due to illness or one not being of age yet.
