*Grey’s POV*
I got into Alex’s car and off we went. It was just a 45-minute drive to get to the Blue Moon Pack and by the time we left, it was already close to 10. I knew Alex was a bit angry as he didn’t like to be late, but something just didn’t sit well today, and I was mad at myself as well for being late. My wolf, Carter, had been prancing around in my head all night and still into this morning. Something is off because usually he is cool, calm, and collected when Madelynn is around but this morning, he seemed to be aggravated at her for being in the room when I went up to shower.
Staring out the window at the scenery on our way to the meeting, I am brought out of my thoughts when Alex nudges me on the shoulder. “Dude, what is with you this morning? You are zoned out more than usual and Madelynn came storming down the hall out of your room when I was first going to get you.” Says Alex. I quickly glanced at him and knew I had to let him in on what was going on. I just sighed and replied, “I am not really sure man. Something just seems off and I feel like something big is about to happen. This is odd because I already found Madelynn as my mate. Carter will not relax as if he is on edge and even was irritated by Madelynn this morning. That never happens. I will just be glad when this meeting is over and we can go back home. Maybe he just needs to run, we haven’t shifted in a few days.”
*Alex’s POV*
On the way over to the meeting with the Blue Moon Alpha, the car ride was unusually quiet. Grey and I normally try and catch up on things and just enjoy each other’s company since we have been best friends since we were pups. I looked over and noticed Grey just staring out into the scenery as I drove my way towards the Blue Moon packhouse. After calling out his name a few times, he still didn’t budge so I finally shoved his shoulder and got his attention that way. I asked him what was up to see if he would be open about what happened this morning causing Madelynn to storm out the room. When he said that Carter was acting odd, I immediately went on alert and asked Allen if he could feel anything. Allen quickly replied stating that everything seemed fine and was not sure why Carter would be acting this way. A wolf only acts this way truly when they are about to meet their mates, however, we knew that couldn’t be it because Grey and Carter already found theirs. Whatever it is, we are about to find out because I was pulling up to the packhouse now and Alpha Richard and Luna Oakley were out front greeting the other alphas that would be attending as well.
