Chapter 4

477 Words
*Madelynn’s POV* I wanted to spend some time with Grey before he left for the meeting at Blue Moon. He has been acting strange and I have a feeling the spell may not be working anymore. Maze said it would last but if he met his true mate then the touch of her skin could possibly break the spell, but nothing else could. I sure hope she was right, and it was just my nerves getting in the way and that he wouldn’t meet anyone while at this meeting. Grey was downstairs getting breakfast, so I snuck up to his room to wait on him. I sat down on his bed and waited, but when he came in, I could tell he was not happy to see me. He even told me to leave because he had to get ready. I ran out of the room stomping my feet when Alex stopped me. “Hey, Madelynn, is Grey ready? He asked. I ran past him yelling, “Get out of my way Alex, and leave me the hell alone.” I ran down the stairs and out the packhouse. I just wanted to be left alone. Grey didn’t want to spend time with me and that was a first. We were always together. *Alex’s POV* Ever since Grey met Madelynn at the party, he has been acting strange. They have only been together a few months, but something seems off. Grey is my best friend after all, and I am ecstatic that he found his mate and I couldn’t wait to meet mine. I knew we were going to end up being late for this meeting with Alpha Richard if we didn’t get to moving right away. I told Grey that we needed to leave in 15 minutes as I saw him leaving the kitchen. Grey ran upstairs so I know he was going to probably be taking a quick shower before we left. Luckily, I had already taken mine before coming down. As I walk up the stairs to go to Grey’s room, I noticed yelling and then a furious Madelynn stomping out. Oh great! “Hey Madelynn, is Grey ready?” I asked her. “Get out of my way Alex and leave me the hell alone,” she said as she ran past me. I knew he needed a minute to get himself together, so I walked back downstairs and outside to pull the car around. After getting the car, I noticed that Grey still wasn’t downstairs, so I went up to grab him. I burst through his door and yell, “Dude, I already have the car out front let’s go before we are late.”  Grey just got up and walked out following me.
