Harry asked the receptionist, "Did someone just ask for me? What time is it now?"
The receptionist pointed at Ethan in surprise. Ethan had called over twenty minutes ago.
Deep down, the receptionist was still laughing, thinking that Ethan must be crazy for actually wanting to meet their boss. If she hadn’t seen him in person and didn’t want to cause trouble, she would have called security to kick him out. But unexpectedly, the boss had really shown up.
"Mr. Harry, he's the one looking for you."
"Him?" Harry looked at Ethan suspiciously. He didn’t dare to ignore him, so he stepped forward and asked, "Who are you? How can I help you?"
Ethan replied coldly, "Are you Harry Lac?"
"Yes, I'm Harry Lac!"
"I have something to discuss with you. Do you want to talk here or in your office?" Ethan asked.
Seeing how calm Ethan was, Harry thought that the man in front of him must be someone important. If an ordinary person came to see him, they would act humbly. But Ethan? He looked confident and unshaken.
"Let's talk in my office!" Harry replied.
Upon arriving at the office, Harry asked his secretary to pour a glass of water for Ethan. Then, he smiled and asked, "May I know your relationship with Director Dony?"
"Dony? I don’t know him," Ethan replied bluntly.
"You don’t know him?" Harry's expression turned surprised. Had he mistaken him for someone else? Wasn't Ethan the important person Director Dony had mentioned?
"Then what business do you have with me?"
Ethan said, "Joda is your son, isn’t he?"
Harry nodded. "Yes, he’s my son. Do you know him?"
"No."
That answer made Harry frown immediately. In a displeased tone, he asked, "You don’t even know my son, so why are you looking for him?"
Ethan stared at him coldly. "Your son made a mistake today. I’ve come to hold you accountable."
Suppressing his anger, Harry asked, "What mistake did he make?"
"Your son harassed my wife, and he must face the consequences."
"Who is your wife?"
Hearing Ethan’s words, Harry started to think that this man couldn't possibly be important. It made no sense for someone of high status to come here just because his wife had been harassed.
"My wife’s name is Sophia. She works at the Amanah Real Estate Sales Center."
Upon hearing that, Harry became even more convinced that he had nothing to fear from Ethan. How could the husband of an ordinary employee be someone influential?
With a condescending tone, he said, "You’re accusing my son of harassing your wife. Do you have any proof? If not, this is slander, and I could sue you."
Ethan smirked. "Someone told me that your son called my wife into his office. Not long after, she ran out crying with her clothes disheveled. That’s the proof."
Harry burst into laughter. "Hahaha! That’s not proof! No one saw my son harassing your wife. Even if he did, so what? Maybe your wife seduced him!"
"My son is the heir to Amanah Real Estate Group, a company worth billions. Do you know how many women want to get close to him just to marry into wealth? Your wife is probably one of them. And now you come here demanding an explanation? How ridiculous!"
Ethan remained calm. "Insulting me is fine. But insulting my wife? That’s your biggest mistake. I gave you a chance, but you didn’t appreciate it. Don’t blame me for what happens next."
Ethan took out his phone and made a call. "In one hour, I want Amanah Real Estate Group to go bankrupt."
Then, he hung up and looked at Harry coldly.
Harry laughed hysterically. "Hahaha! I’m so scared! In one hour, Amanah Real Estate Group will go bankrupt? Who do you think you are? Thanos? You think just by snapping your fingers, the company I built over decades will collapse?"
Ethan gave him a faint smile. "Let’s wait and see."
Harry scoffed. "Alright, I’ll wait with you. It’s been a while since I met someone this entertaining."
But just ten minutes later, his secretary rushed in, looking panicked.
"Mr. Harry! This is bad! Someone is buying a massive amount of company shares, then selling them at a low price. Our stock index has dropped by more than ten points, and we’ve already lost hundreds of millions!"
"What?!"
Harry was shocked and turned to Ethan, his eyes wide with disbelief.
Before he could process what was happening, the financial manager barged in, looking distressed.
"Mr. Harry, several companies we work with are demanding immediate debt repayment! If we don’t pay, they’ll take legal action!"
Then, a security manager rushed in frantically.
"Mr. Harry..."
"What now?!" Harry snapped.
"The Real Estate Safety Supervision Bureau called. They found potential safety hazards in our projects. Unit handovers have been suspended, and sales must stop. They’ve ordered a full inspection of all ongoing construction projects."
Harry's face turned pale. In just ten minutes, the company he thought was unshakable was crumbling before his eyes.
He looked at Ethan in terror, feeling his entire body tremble. Deep inside, he realized that Ethan was an unimaginably dangerous man.
"Everyone, get out! Don’t disturb me!" he ordered.
Once everyone had left, Harry rushed to Ethan and immediately knelt down.
"Sir, I was wrong! Please, stop this!"
Ethan smirked. "Only five minutes, and you’re already giving up?"
Harry felt like crying. In just five minutes, his company had already lost so much. If he waited the full hour, his company would truly be finished!
