Evelynn woke up feeling exhausted. The whole night had passed with hardly any sleep. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw the attack from her vision all over again. The flashing lights, the gunfire, the blood, and the overwhelming certainty that Aaron King was going to die all haunted her. Her mind kept circling back to one impossible question. Did he survive?
