I woke up, startled by a loud thump. I couldn't believe that I had fallen asleep, that in an uncomfortable space. I stretched out my arms and tried to find comfortability in the tiny coach. The coach suddenly came to a halt, and everyone outside was quiet.
“Is something wrong?” I asked Annette, who had fallen asleep as well across me.
Annette peeked outside.
“I can't see anything. I can't see anyone Your Highness.”
“But what do you mean? Ralph was calling for me a second ago...”
Annette brought her finger to her lips, and slowly opened the door. She jumped out of the coach, and I could see the shock on her face as she turned pale. I got out as well, and gasped, horrified by the sight in front of me. Five bloody lifeless bodies scattered on the ground.
