Katherine froze, she couldn't move or breathe, her hands were shaking and her vision blurry.
She rushed to a tree and threw up, she didn't know who was patting her down but it helped to calm her nerves. The stranger handed a bottle of water to her to rinse her mouth and face, she dipped her hand in her jacket pocket and took out the bottle of anxiety pills, threw one into her mouth and followed suit with the water.
It was after she began to feel better that she looked at her savior;
"You again, why do you pop up everywhere?" She asked, still catching her breath
"You're welcome Katherine." Jayden said
"Sorry, thank you." jayden blinked severally, his eyes grew wide as he stared at her.
"What? He's awake? I hope not." katherine asked, looking back as she took a step closer to Jayden.
"Did you just say 'sorry & thank you'? Jayden asked.
Katherine cleared her throat and shrugged, "I'll be on my way now. You can take care of this villain on your own." She said, pointing to the still unconscious man.
"Here you go." Jayden gave back her purse and cellphone.
"Tha.... um i mean... have a goodnight Mr Blakes."
"You too miss davis." Jayden replied and smiled.
Katherine half walked and half ran to her car which was just a block away, she caught her driver on airpods nodding his head, probably to a music playing.
"You fool! I was almost mugged and you're here listening to God knows what! Take me home!" She yelled at him.
Katherine tried not to think about what happened when she got home, she took a quick shower and got into bed, thanks to Jayden, what would she have done. But what was he doing there?
She shook her head, it was none of her business so she pushed the thought away and drifted off to sleep.

Earlier before the incident:
'Jayden felt bored at home, he decided to go for a walk, he stepped out and wanted to grab a bite of the doughnut sold close to the fountain by the city park.
When Jayden saw the curvy figure walking alone on the pedestrian, he knew something would happen, after all a lot of cases of people being mugged there at night filled the city.
He wondered why the young lady would be stupid enough to walk there alone at night. So he walked slowly with her on the other side of the walkway, he found her beautiful in that black dress.
He was just about to go over and talk to her, probably see if she would go for a late night drink with him, that's when he saw the guy moving towards her in such speed.
Jayden saw him grabbing and twisting her arm, he rushed to the other side and knocked him out. He was just about to ask if she was okay, then he discovered it was his boss, frozen with her eyes tightly closed and hands shaking.
'f**k, she's having a bloody panic attack.' He thought to himself, he was about to ask if she was alright when she threw up.'
Back to the present:
After Katherine left, he tied the robber to a street light stand and called the police;
"This is the new york police department, how may we help you?" The lady on the receiver end said.
"There's a robber tied to the street light at city park, get over there before he regains consciousness." Jayden said and hung up.
He walked away after confirming that the guy was bound tight and would be out until the police came, since he got into New York three years ago, he never concerned himself with these things or get involved.
Why his first instincts was to follow and help the sexy lady who turned out to be his boss, he didn't know but he was somehow glad he did, the Davis's family shouldn't have another funeral 8months after CEO Nathan Davis' death.
Jayden kept smiling to himself as he walked;
"See you at the office, boss."
He proceeded to get his doughnut, he went to the clubhouse to pick a call girl for the night and take her to a hotel. He never took anyone to his home, not even his friend Justin, the only friend he's had since he arrived at the city, he wanted to keep a low profile else his mischievous sister would find him.
His sister, Mireya always wanted to inherited 'The family business' but since she's a woman and women ain't cut out for that kind of job, their parents kicked against it.
He had always felt his sister loathed him ever since then but now that his parents were gone, she took over after he fled Mexico and from what he heard, she's handling it way better than their father. He should and must be proud wherever that sly father of his is. Now he just have to figure out a way of making her give up looking for him else this peaceful life of his would come to an end.
He wondered why she would need him, she got what she always wanted and he's out of the picture, so he couldn't figure out why she was hell bent on finding him when he clearly didn't want to be found. He erased the thought and focused on having fun for the night, he so wanted that lady in the black dress, the lady he just saved and turned out to be his boss.
"What the hell was she thinking, walking alone at night by the park? Haven't she heard about muggers?" He mumbled.
He arrived at a strip club, took a table and ordered for a drink. As he drank, his eyes roamed the room, searching for a girl with the exact curve his boss had,
when he found her, he didn't hesitate to leave with her to a hotel to have fun.
