After eight months, the company decided to reveal the face of the new CEO of Davis Constructions, they've been without one since CEO Davis' demise. One would have thought that the new CEO would be a man but everyone was shocked because it turns out to be a woman. A beautiful, tall, elegant, attractive and curvy figure walks into the building in a white suit and black red bottom heels. As many other employees, Jayden Blakes was smitten by her looks, she was fierce looking and seemed to be in a sour mood as she walked passed everyone like they didn't just greet her. Jayden had never seen such rudeness to be cute and attracting but it did attract him to her. Katherine Davis arrived at her office, looked around and ordered her personal assistant, Nova to get her morning coffee; "Do i need to remind you of your job? Coffee!" "I'm sorry ma'am." Nova apologized and hurried to do her boss's bidding. There was a knock on the door, "if it's not urgent, get lost!" Katherine yelled. "It is." Jayden said as he opened the door and poked his head in. Katherine stared at him in wonder, he was tall and had a great physique, his black hair fell to the left side of his fine face.... she cleared her throat. "You must really hate your job to risk getting fired. Now what's the urgency?" Katherine asked as she sips out of the coffee nova handed her. "There's a meeting in the conference room, the board of directors and other members of this corporation are waiting for you." Jayden spoke so gently, he didn't realize she looked so sexy and hot up close. A figure that could send any man on his feet and lips that could make his knees go weak.... Damn! Katherine looked above her cup and sighed, she dropped the cup on the table and walked over to him in slow steady strides. "What's your name?" She asked "Jayden, Jayden Blakes." He offered her a hand but withdrew and smiled when she didn't take it, a stubborn one, he could tell. "Conference room C, right?" "Yes." Jayden replied "You would address me accordingly young man." Katherine gritted her teeth. "Yes..ma'am." Jayden corrected, forcing himself to keep a straight face. Katherine clenched her fist and released it, she rolled her eyes and walked passed him out the door, nova followed her immediately leaving Jayden who was smiling at himself. "She sure is trouble." Jayden mumbled to himself and walked out of the office behind them. In the conference room, Katherine Davis walked in with a domineering aura which sent a message to the board and other members that she could not be crossed. After she took her sit and everyone followed suit, she looked around before speaking; "I believe you all are familiar with my father and the way he operated, i will not be operating in that same way, incompetence and lack of professionalism will not be tolerated. Two strikes and you're out on your asses, i don't care how long you've been with this company or what you've contributed to this company so far. If you want to keep your jobs and your shares as well, you all have to be useful.... and with that being said, we can go down to business." There was absolute silence in the room as they were cautiously giving reports on their various departments in the company, from the ongoing building projects to the profit and losses of the company. Jayden watched Katherine's expressions all through, he could read people so well and from what he could see, most of these old sheeps were in for trouble. An hour later the meeting was over, they all returned to their offices with some, making small talks about the new CEO and how arrogant & disrespectful she is. "I need to see the managing director, send him or her to my office now." Katherine told her secretary before entering her office. She heard the whispers but Katherine didn't care what people say about her. Few minutes later, there was a knock on the door and nova answered it; "The managing director is here ma'am." Nova said "Well, let him in." "You sent for me ma'am." "Yes, I need you to explain how those old fools incurred so much loss during a short period of time." Katherine asked without raising her head from her laptop. "With all due respect, the board of directors are superior to me... ma'am." The MD replied There was something piercing about that voice, Katherine looked over her screen and scoffed, she laid back on the executive chair; "You again, so you are the managing director...." She smirked and continued, "Superior or not, you are the MD and your duty is simple. Every decision they make, they run it by you because you are also a representative of this company.... except you're in on all these bullshit figures." Jayden was quiet, he studied her for a while then said; "I'm not part of any conspiracy ma'am, for the record i tried to stop this from happening but i was cut out from every business deal and meetings up until now." "You're a shitty Managing Director then!" Katherine said, "Find out who is stealing money from the company and maybe i will let you keep your job." She smirked, jayden turned and left. "Nova get the the Chief Financial Officer now!" Moments Later, Mr Cooper came in; "Yes miss davis." "Mr Cooper, you're the CFO right? Can you please explain why these figures don't add up? why are there so much losses in the company?" Katherine asked irritated. "Miss davis, the company has been without a CEO for eight months, we'velost contracts and almost lost staffs. We had to stay relevant by paying our workers overtime and take low profit projects..." Mr Cooper said looking everywhere but her. Katherine squinted, "Leave." she said coldly and Mr Cooper hurried out.
