Bang!
The club erupted into chaos. Screams filled the air as people ran for cover. Glass shattered, tables overturned, and the heavy scent of gunpowder filled the space.
Ahil pulled Zarnab down behind an overturned couch just as another shot whizzed past them, barely missing his head. Faris had already taken cover behind a pillar, scanning the area with sharp eyes.
"This isn't random," Ahil growled, reaching for the g*n tucked at his waist. "They don't want us to know the truth."
Zarnab's hands trembled as she tried to steady her breathing. She had been chasing justice for so long-but was it worth dying for?
Ahil was protecting zarnab like something very precious.
More shots rang out before the men abruptly stopped firing. Instead of running, they turned and left as quickly as they came. It was as if they had only been there to send a message.
Ahil stood up first, his face cold with rage. "Cowards."
Zarnab followed, but before she could process what had just happened, her phone vibrated. A call from an unknown number.
She hesitated before answering. "Who is this?"
A low, urgent voice came through the speaker. "Get out of there. You don't have time."
She stiffened. "What do you mean?"
"The real killer... I know who it is. But I'm too late. He's already made his move."
Zarnab's blood ran cold. "Who?!"
A sharp breath. "Faris."
Her entire world tilted.
"Faris is the killer."
Inspector Naeem's Discovery
Elsewhere in the city, Inspector Naeem Ashraf was speeding through the streets, gripping the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles turned white.
Everything had finally fallen into place.
The evidence, the reports, the missing puzzle pieces-it all led to one name. Faris
Saisha had played Ahil and Faris against each other, switching between them based on who had more power, more money, more influence. But Faris had loved her-so much that when he discovered her betrayal, when he realized she had never truly cared about him, he snapped.
He had killed her in a fit of rage.
And all this time, he had been helping Zarnab, staying close to Ahil, manipulating the investigation-just to make sure no one ever suspected him.
Naeem pressed the accelerator harder, dialing Ahil's number. No answer.
Then he tried Zarnab again
She picked up, her voice shaking. "Inspector Naeem"
"Zarnab, are you guys still there , I tried calling Ahil . listen to me again !" "Faris is the killer! Get away from him NOW!"
Silence.
Then, a whisper. "He's right here."
Zarnab slowly turned her head.
Faris was standing behind her.
His expression was unreadable, his usual warmth gone.
Ahil, who had overheard everything, had his g*n raised, pointed directly at Faris.
"Tell me it's not true," Zarnab whispered, her voice breaking.
Faris smiled-a sad, empty smile.
"I wish I could."
And then he pulled the trigger.
A single shot.
Zarnab screamed.
