Joan woke up In the body of a young and beautiful young girl who happened to have the same name with her, she last remembered that she died on the battle field in the war between country F and country H, but now she transmigrated to two hundred years after the war. she had the memories of the owner of the body, she knew that the owner's parents were both dead, and she lived with her grandfather and her orphaned cousin whose parents were also dead.

Joan was twenty years old and was engaged to Ivan who was her crush in high school, but she did not know that her cousin and her so called fiance were plotting against her because Joan was more beautiful than her cousin whose name was Rikka but her fiance was in love with Rikka because Rikka always acted so fragile. Joan knew that the real owner of the body did not know of how she was being fooled, but she understood . Joan's fiance always came to her house to call off the engagement but Joan would always try to stop him by promising and giving him money and some times expensive jewelry which he always give to his mum. The new Joan started thinking that the old Joan was a fool for Not seeing through Ivan's plan of taking money from her under the pretext of calling off the engagement. this new Joan vowed to take revenge and collect every single penny that they ever took from her.

Joan was still in her room when one of their house maids came to tell her that Ivan was at home, normally Joan would jump up and run downstairs to meet Ivan but today she calmly went to the bathroom took a bath, wore a white off shoulder dress and came down. the maid was astonished at how calm Joan was but she dared not speak out because Joan was also known for her ruthless behavior, she once beat a maid nearly to death because the maid politely talked back at her.

When Joan came downstairs she saw Ivan and then she thought to herself why the former owner of the body like Ivan because he wasn't even that handsome. Ivan saw Joan coming down the stairs calmly he felt that there was something different about her but he couldn't quite understand what it was. He shrugged it off and went back to the normal routine of pretending to call off the engagement "Joan" Ivan said "I don't think we should be together" he added feigning a pained expression "your family is much more wealthier than mine and people would say that I am marrying you because of your money, and I don't want that" he waited for Joan's usual reply of begging him not to call off the engagement but instead she said with a blank expression "ok, if that is the case then we should break off this alliance right now". Ivan was stunned he never expected Joan to say something like that and she even said it with such a cool and calm expression, for a moment he did not know what to say but then he heard her say "from today henceforth there is no longer an alliance between us" Ivan just stood there dumbfounded, even the maids who were around were speechless as they were not expecting Joan to just call of the alliance.

Ivan got nurveous _this is no supposed to happen, she is supposed to beg me not to call off the engagement_ he said in his mind

Joan looked at him she tried to hide the disgust in her eyes_ you think I will beg you, well think again, I am not the same naive, stupid person you used to know_
