The day of the move

598 Words
Today is the day we move to Orlando. I’m kinda excited though and nervous as well. Like I’m going to miss my home, friends, sister. Orlando is one hour away from Houston. It’s good that the two cities are close because 1. I’ll be to see my sister more 2. I won’t get sick during the drive. Yeah I get car sick. “Cathy it’s time to go.” My mom called out to me. “Coming mom.I just want to say goodbye to the house one last time.” I said. “Ok. Be fast. I do not want your father to get annoyed. Yeah one thing about my father, he hates when we do not keep to time. He always tells us he hates going out with us because we never get ready on time. But you can’t blame us you know, we are ladies. “Andrew!!” My mom called out to my brother. “What is taking you so long huh?” Yeah I don’t think Andrew is ready as well. “Cathy is not ready to go as well.So why the f**k are you calling out to me like that?” Andrew replied. “How many times have I told you to stop cursing in the house Andrew?” My father asked. “And why would you talk to your mother like that? Y’all should get out of the house now! We still need to settle down when we get there. The sooner we leave the sooner we’ll get there and the sooner we’ll be able to settle down.” My father said.Andrew and I went downstairs afterwards. Our elder sister,Emma was downstairs with her boyfriend waiting to tell us goodbye. She was supposed to come with us and help us settle down but her boss needed her to do somethings for him. Yeah, her boss is an asshole. Couldn’t he have given the work to someone else?. “OMG Guys!! I’m going to miss you guys so much. I won’t be able to crash at your place anytime I want especially when I get into a fight with Caleb” My sister lamented. “Thank God for that. At least we won’t have to listen to your ranting for hours and repeating the same thing over and over again.” Cassie said and we all laughed. “Cassie, don’t be mean to your sister. But I support Cassie on this one. At least now you and Steve would be able to settle your fights without getting anybody involved. But if your fights get to serious, you can always call us to talk. Ok?” My mom said. “Ok mom.” Emma responded. “Are y’all done with given advice? Can we just have a family hug and be on our way? You heard what that said. It’s already 1.14pm.” Andrew said. “Ok ok. Let us have one last family hug in front of this house.” Mom said. “Why are you being so dramatic mom? This house still belongs to us you know. We can still come back here for a vacation or something whenever we want. That’s why we left the furnitures in the house.” I said. “Ok whatever let’s just go already. I really want to see how the house looks like.” Andre said. With that we all said goodbye to the house and Emma and got into the car to start the trip to Orlando. “I’m really going to miss living in Houston.” Anna whispered. “Me too.” We replied.
