Dustin's P.O.V.
Finally. It had been three weeks since I've been in the hospital. Three freaking weeks. Now I can finally leave this place. The smell of bleach burned my nose and everything was just too clean.
I sat there waiting for Tobias and wishing I could just fly out the window. I hate hospitals. Even the word irks my nerves to no end.(I really feel that way.) As I sat there with nothing to do I heard a small chuckle from the door.
I turned to see Tobias laughing in the door. I smiled, over excited about finally leaving I run up to him and hug him tight. He laughs again and hugs me back. When I looked up at him he looked sad.
"What's wrong Tobias?" I ask pouting slightly. I always worry about him, even though I know he won't let anything happen to him. He smiles and hugs me tighter.
"Nothing Dustin, I'm just happy you're okay. How are you feeling?" He asked.
"I'm fine Toby I'm just ready to leave." I reply sighing.
Tobias smiled as we walk out the room together. I was over joyed to be out now. Did I mention that I hate hospitals? Now I really just want to leave. Being cooped up in one room for two weeks can make a person go crazy.
"So Dustin do you want to go somewhere today? I'm sure you don't want to just go home and sit there after sitting in the hospital for so long." Toby asks as if reading my mind.
I smile wide and nod my head quickly making Toby laugh. "Okay what should we do then?" He asks and I look down to think. We could go anywhere but I pause. I haven't been to the zoo in forever.
"Can we go to the zoo?!" I asked excitedly bouncing up and down, chanting please over and over again.
Tobias chuckled before nodding his head saying yes we could go. I immediately squealed and pulled him towards the car telling him that he moved too slow. All he did was laugh and slow down even more seeming to enjoy me struggling to pull him along.
"Come on! You're doing this on purpose, why do you do this to me?" I huffed dramatically and he began going slower and slower until he just stopped. I kept trying to pull him but he wouldn't budge. All he did was laugh as I whined and tried to move him.
"Come on Toby this isn't funny." I whined more but he just laughed again. I swear he better sleep with one eye open tonight. I puffed out my cheeks and pouted at him trying to get him to move. If you have a cute face use it, that's my motto.
He awed and grabbed my cheeks squishing my face before letting go. "I'll walk faster on one condition." He said and I was slightly scared of what he'd ask but for the penguins I'll do it.
"Whatisitwhatisitwhatisitwhatisitwhatisit? Tellmetellmetellmetellme!" I demanded excited to get to the zoo already.
Toby smiled and said, "You have to let me carry you to the car and through the zoo." I pouted more at that. The only person who ever carried me was my father and that was just to throw me to the ground.
I could never trust anyone to carry me since my father started with the beatings. I know that Toby won't hurt me though so I agree. "Fine but you also have to get me ice cream." I challenge him. He goes to answer before Michael pops up from nowhere.
"Me too." He says while wrapping an arm around me.
Toby hissed before pulling me into his arms. "Actually Dustin and I are going to hang out together like old times. Right Dustin?" Toby asks looking at me hopefully. I looked at them both, it's true that me and Toby hardly spend time together just the two of us. I nod to myself before speaking aloud.
"Yeah I never get to hang out with just Toby so I think it's best if you don't go Michael." I say and I don't miss the sad look in his eyes when I say that. He looked like a kicked puppy.
"Oh, that's fine we can just out tomorrow then right?" He asked hopefully.
I know I'm his mate and all and that he just wants to be around me but I don't really get to see Toby often and just hang out with him especially since I've been in the hospital. I frowned in thought as I tried to think of a way to make them both happy.
I could split up the time we spend with each other today and tomorrow being Tobias' weekend and next weekend for Michael. Yeah that sounds good. "Um, I'll think about it Michael I hardly ever spent any time with Toby so maybe next weekend." I say trying mot to hurt his feelings.
It's hard having two friends that don't like each other. I saw Michael look down and frown slightly before saying bye and walking away dragging his feet. I feel so bad but I really just wanted to be with Toby right now I hope he understands.
Michael's P.O.V.
I walked away from my kitten and Tobias slowly as they went to the zoo together. How am I supposed to be okay with that? My unsuspecting kitten with that i***t trying to make a move on him all the time will never sit right with me. I have to find a way to get closer to Dustin so he can feel the pull like I can.
I just know that if he'd just open his eyes and see how much I love him he'd feel the same way. I got in my car and started it pulling out onto the road on my way home. I held the wheel tightly as I thought of all the things they were going to do together. I couldn't let them do anything together. Well my little sister does like the zoo, maybe I could keep an eye on them without having to hide.
I smirked to myself driving faster trying to get home and to the zoo before they did anything. As I pulled up to the house my sister, Marissa, came bursting out of the house screaming at the top of her lungs. "Big brother! Big brother!" She chanted while clinging to my leg after I got out of the car.
I was always a ladies man and that also counted my baby sister. She absolutely adored me for some reason and that was what I needed. I needed her cuteness because I have a feeling no one not ever Dustin could resist a cutie like her. "Hey Mar, you wanna got to the zoo today?" I asked and I smirked inwardly as I saw the excitement in her eyes.
"Yes please!" She screeched jumping up and down yelling about all the cute penguins and turtles. "Okay well lets get some money from mom and dad." I said and laughed as she pulled me into the house. "Momma! Papa! Money please!" Mar yelled to our unsuspecting parents who were in the middle of cooking dinner.
"What for munchkin?" My dad asked while lifting Marissa into the air and swaying her around. "Zoo with big brother. Money please." She said again while making grabbing hands at dad's pocket causing him to laugh a deep and growl-like laugh that shook the room. He put Mar down and went into his wallet.
"Here have fun, but don't buy a hooker." He chuckled giving me $40 because Mar has an obsession with stuffed animals and the ones at the zoo are expensive. Mom smacked the back of his head while Mar yelled hooker over and over. I laughed and took Mar to the car telling her not to say hooker anymore.
Of course she asked what a hooker was and I told her to ask dad when we got home. I put Mar in her car seat before getting into the drivers seat and pulling onto the road. On our way to the zoo Mar and I played I spy. In the end Mar won.
Once we got to the zoo all I could think about was getting my Dustin all to myself for good.
