Chapter 14

Aiden POV

I was so freaking angry. She always does this. She always runs away from me. She just texted me that she needed some space from me. Me??? I thought we were good. She was normal for the rest of the vacation. We even agreed to go on a date and now she said that she needed space. I don't believe her, to be honest, but she didn't answer any of my calls. I also went to her house which was not locked. Weird but I saw that her stuff was also missing, so she did go at her aunt's house. James had told me that her uncle and aunt live in Italy. Did she really go to Italy? I don't know. I went to the office but after her text, I came back because I wasn't in a mood to work. I called Noah and asked him to meet me at my house. After a while, Noah came.

“Ok, what happened,” Noah asked after we had settled down. I told him everything.

“Wow. I mean she is weird. Did you call her or something?”Noah asked.

“I did, but she didn't pick it up,” I said while running my hands through my hair.

“Why I feel like there is something else? Come on man you said that she agreed to go on a date and now she said that she needs space. It doesn't make sense.”Noah said.

“Yeah I also thought that maybe she is lying but when I went to her house. Her stuff was not there and you know what was the weirdest thing that her house was not even locked.”I said.

“What can I say. You will have to wait for her to come back but I'm sorry to say relationships don't work like that.” Noah said.

“We are not even in a relationship.... you are right though but I won't give up on her. I love her and I will make her mine.”I said.

“I know...It's hard to give up. But give Ella some space. Give her the time she needs to think about it.”Noah smiled at me.

“How're things going between you and Stella,” I asked.

“Things are going great. In fact, I think that I'm falling for her.”Noah said with a dreamy look in his eyes.

“Congrats man and when are you planning to tell her, ”I asked. I was really happy for Noah. He deserved it.

“Soon,” he said with a grin.

After sometime Noah went back to work. I tried to do some office work but I couldn't take my mind off her. I was about to go to my room when something in my drawer caught my eye. It was my old journal. I took it with me and went towards my room. I haven't written anything about it for a long time. I opened it and start writing.

She was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Her eyes were full of sadness, but she still managed to smile. She has fire in her soul and grace in her heart. Her eyes reflected the purity of her soul. She has the most beautiful smile ever but still, something was missing. She was hiding something behind her smile. I wanted to know about her, but she had a wall around herself. I want to break it so that I can know the real her. I want to take away all her pain. I want to be the one who made her smile. When I'm with her everything feels right. I want to become a better person just for her. She understands me, She makes me feel things which I have never felt before. She's my first thought in the morning and last thought before I sleep, and she is almost every thought in between. I didn't want to fall in love, not at all but at some point, she smiled and holy s**t I blew it. She is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. I don't care if she runs away from me, I will never give up on her.

I closed my journal with a sigh and went to take a nap.

Ella POV

I'm here from the past whole week. I'm badly bruised. It's the same routine. Luca beat me every day and them Lorenzo gave me my food. I am quite tired and hungry, to be honest, one bread and a glass of water are not enough. I was waiting for Luca to come. After some time he entered the cell.

“Wow you look like s**t,” he smirked. I just rolled my eyes at him.

“Ok let me tell you something,” he said while sitting on a chair.

“When I first captured you I want to know information about Liam and Daniel's deal with that dipshit but now I don't need that. Your brother has agreed to work with me so I don't need them anymore," he said.

“Then why am I still here,” I asked uninterestedly. He wasn't going to let me go that easily. 

“I want to kill your brother first but then I thought it won't be easy to kill him so I make you my target. You will pay for your father sins,” he smirked. 

“What sins,” I asked confused

“Your father killed my parents because they didn't pay the debt. He killed them in front of my eyes. I couldn't save them. One of your father's men tried to r**e my sister too but I saved her, and we escaped our hometown. I wanted to take revenge that's why I joined mafia but I soon realized that Carlos won't be an easy target, Of course, he is more powerful than Daniel and Liam. So I stalked you. At first, when your brother knew that I'm after you, he threatened me so I turned towards Daniel, but he betrayed me and finalized a deal behind my back but yesterday you will not believe what I found.” he said. He took out his phone and show it to me. Every colour from my face drained. It was a video of that day, The day when my parents were killed. How is it possible?no one was home on that day. Who made this video?

“H-How is it p-possible. No one was home that day.”I asked bewildered. I can't believe it.

“One of your maid's son made it. He was there when all of this happened,” he said. What the actual f**k?. This video is very important. Carlson could be killed and I would be free. If our men saw this video they will know that Carlson killed them, and he will be sentenced to death as a punishment for killing his own family and I will be free, free to live my life according to my wish.

“I know what are you thinking but you will not be able to escape. I want to kill you right now but I don't want to make it easy. I would have my fun with you and then I will kill you.” he said evil. I know what he meant, he was going to r**e me. I was scared but I knew better than to show it on my face.

“By the way, you didn't hear the full story so when I find this video I threatened your brother and I gave him two choices you or his life and business, and he chose the latter. So in short I can do whatever I want to with you.” he smiled sickly at me.

“You could give this video to our men, and they will kill Carlson and in this way, you will get your revenge,” I reasoned with him. Danm that thing is worth everything.

“Yeah I can do that, but he is important you know in flourishing my business so I can't kill him,” he said with a grin. 

“You are lucky that I have a meeting so you won't get any beating today but tomorrow will be your last day,” he said and went away.

I need to escape. I can't lose hope now. Carlson will finally pay for what he had done. I pulled at the chains but no luck. There was nothing in this cell which can help me in opening these chains. I can't even move, it hurts like b***h. Suddenly the door opened and Lorenzo entered. He didn't bring me my food. Weird.

“Luca is gone for a very important meeting. This is your only chance to escape,” he said while unlocking the chains.

“You are helping me?”I asked with wide eyes.

“I can't let him r**e you so yes I am helping you. There is a secret door at the end of this passageway. You can escape from there. No one knows about that door so you will have time to run away. You are in the middle of a forest right now. Once you get out to run as fast as you can and try your best to get out of this forest. I will give you a phone and some money, You can hail a cab afterwards. Go straight to Daniel's house. You are safer there.” he said while helping me stand.

Lorenzo walked me towards a wall. He pressed something and the wall or door opened. What? These things exist.

“Woah. I have only seen these things in movies.”I said. He laughed lightly. As he said we were in a forest. We went outside and I was glad to be able to breathe in the fresh air.

“Ok so here's the phone and some money,” Lorenzo said while stopping. I take those things from him.

“Thank you so much.”I smiled at him. He smiled and went back. I took a deep breath and took off. I was in so much pain but I didn't slow down. It's now or never. After a while of running, I was finally on a road. I switched on the phone but there was no network. s**t now, what should I do? I start walking. After some time I finally got the network. I called a cab and was waiting for it to arrive. The cab arrived in 10 minutes. The cab driver was quite scared at first. I can't blame him but then I told him that I was captured and some guy helped me run away, He calmed down. I gave him the address of Daniel's house. After about an hour or so we reached Daniel home. I paid him and walked towards the front door. Thank god the guard knew me so he let me in. I pressed his bell and after two or three rings the door opened. When he saw me his eyes went wide, and he pulled me towards him.

“What the f**k had happened to you? who did it? tell me and I will kill him with my own f*****g hands,” he said angrily.

“I will tell you but let me come in.”I smiled at him.

“No we are going to a hospital first,” he said and picked me up in a bridal style. I didn't argue because after all that running I was feeling weaker and all my old wounds start bleeding again. He made me sit in the front seat and went inside his home. He returned with a long coat and made me wear it. I nearly forgot that my clothes were all tattered. I got comfortable in the front seat. My eyes were getting heavy and suddenly everything was becoming double. Daniel was calling me but I couldn't focus. Soon darkness took over.
