Chapter 12

Ella POV

I was in my room. My room was very dark. I tried to switch on the lights but it didn't switch on. I somehow found my door and tried to open it but it didn't budge.

“Father!” I screamed but I heard no noise. I tried it again.

“Uh oh, my sister wants to get out” I heard my brother's voice in my room.

“Carlos?” I asked and turned around. Although I can't see anything I heard his voice from this room.

Suddenly someone roughly pulled me and pushed me on my bed. I screamed at the top of my lungs.

“You killed our parents. You should also be dead don't you think?” Carlos asked.

“I didn't kill them,” I said while standing up from my bed. Suddenly someone pulled my arms behind me and then someone kicked me in my stomach. I groaned and fell on my knees with my arms still behind me.

“We will get rid of you then we will lead together.” I heard uncle john voice from behind.

I can see Carlos in front of me because of the moonlight. He took my hair in his hand and pushed my face upwards to face him.

“Goodbye Ella,” he said and put the knife through my stomach. I screamed in pain.

“Ella wake up” I heard Aiden's voice. I slowly opened my eyes and saw him hovering above me. He was looking at me with concern. oh boy did I have a freaking nightmare in front of him? This was the first time I saw my uncle in my dream. weird. I slowly get up and sat on the bed. I was crying of course. I rubbed my eyes.

“Are you okay?” Aiden asked

“Yeah, i-i am good,” I said.

He got up and pour a glass of water and gave it to me. I drank it and put the glass back on the table. I put my head against the headboard and sighed. He was going to ask questions and I know that I don't have any answers. Should I tell him? No way I really like him, I don't want to lose him.

He will understand, just tell him my subconscious mind said

Who will want to be with me? I'm f****d up, I have a bad past. Every day I tried to start fresh but this guilt never let me live I said

You don't even want to forget it You never tried to forget it my subconscious mind said.

I opened my eyes and saw Aiden looking at me with an unknown emotion in his eyes. He came towards me and engulfed me in a hug. I hugged him back. After a while of hugging, He stood up and throw all the pillows which were in between us. I didn't argue because I don't have the energy. He climbed into bed and laid down.

“You don't have questions?” I asked surprised.

“You will tell me by yourself when you are ready. I don't want to push you. Come on lets sleep.” he said quietly.

I feel quite bad for not telling him but it's not easy for me and I can't just expose that I was in the mafia. Although I was only training but still. I laid down on the bed and faced the other side. Suddenly I felt two hands circling my waist.

“Aiden what are you doing?” I shrieked. Is he mad?

“Don't fight for once and just sleep.?” he said in a tired voice and placed his face in the crook of my neck. I didn't argue anymore because I was tired too and just went to sleep.

I woke up the next morning. I checked the time, it was 7 in the morning. I groaned and turned to the other side but bumped into a hard chest. I looked upwards and saw that Aiden was asleep. I sighed in relief. I'm glad I didn't wake him up. He looked so cute while asleep. His hair was a mess. Oh! Come on snap out of it, stop ogling him, Ella. I slowly moved out of the bed. I slowly get up, I was about to move when a hand-pulled me down. I landed on Aiden's chest.

“What the f**k are you doing,” I said while rubbing my forehead.

He didn't even reply. I looked at his face and saw him looking at me intently. I looked back down and tried to get up, but he put his hands on my waist.

“Aiden leave me,” I said frustrated. 

“You were the one who was staring at me like a creep.,” he said smirking. He caught me checking him out. shoot!

“You know what.... yeah I was staring at you because you look very cute when you are asleep.” what? he already caught me checking him out, then why I should lie. He laughed lightly. We both got up and changed.

We did some office work. After that, we went to have breakfast with Aiden family.

“So Ella what does your family do,” Josh asked. Oh, I sometimes hate this question.

“They died when I was 17 but before that my father had an architect company in Italy,” I said.

“Oh, I'm so sorry Ella. I didn't know” josh apologised.

“Did you know George Mathews? He owned the most successful architect company in Italy. He is Ella's father.”Aiden said while squeezing my hand reassuringly under the table.

“Oh yeah, I know him. He was a great man, to be honest, but if you don't mind me asking Ella, there are rumours that your parents were killed, is that true.” josh asked. Oh, wow that was a bit straightforward.

“No, they died in a car crash,” I said sadly.

“Oh, anyways we are going for sightseeing today. I am so excited to see one particular place called Meteora. I saw its pictures, the place is so beautiful.”Anna said excitedly. I smiled at her. This girl is like a ball of energy. We finished our breakfasts and went to get ready for today.

I was wearing a simple white shirt with shorts. We went out. Aiden bought a car. I don't know why he bought it though, he could have just rented it. We went to many places. And took a lot of pictures. I enjoyed a lot, to be honest. I always wanted to visit Greece because there were so many historic places that you can visit. We came back to the hotel at 6. We went to our rooms and get freshened up. I and Aiden did some office work. After, that we had our dinner. I was currently getting ready for bed.

“Did you have fun today?”Aiden asked when I get into bed.

“Yeah, I really enjoyed today.”I smiled at him.

“I did too. We are going to the beach tomorrow. Have you packed a bikini or something?” he asked while getting into the bed?

“I did, ”I said and laid down.

“What does true love means?”Aiden asked after a while of silence. Why is he asking me that all of a sudden? And why in the world I would know that.

“Um in my eyes, To love unconditionally, To care without expectation. True love is about growing as a couple and never giving up on each other. True love is when you can't imagine your life without him/her. True love is about accepting each other with their flaws. To support each other, to encourage each other. True love is pure and equal without any violence. You get old but the love in your heart always stays young.”I said while staring at the ceiling. When Aiden didn't answer, I looked at him, but he was already looking at me with a serious expression. He suddenly came near me and hovered above me. I looked at him in confusion.

“Then I love you. I will love you unconditionally. I will always take care of you. Even if you have a bad past but I will never give up on you. I can't imagine my life without you. Even that thought scares me. I will always support you in your decisions because I love you. I love you so much that it scares me.” he said with a sincere expression, and he was looking at me with so much love. What?

By the way, I took some help from google when I wrote that true love paragraph.
