Chapter 7

Ella POV

I was getting ready for work but my mind was somewhere else. I did not understand Aiden actions on Saturday night. When he touched me I felt sparks, and I felt butterflies fluttering in my stomach. I have decided that I will try my best to ignore him. 

I was wearing a light skin skirt and blue shirt with flower print. I tied my hair in a ponytail. I have my breakfast and went to the office. I greeted Olivia and Stella on my way. I knocked on Aiden's office door. I heard his familiar voice. With a deep breath, I went inside.

“Good morning sir,” I said in a professional tone.

“Good morning. What's my schedule for today” he asked while typing on his phone. As usual, he looked quite handsome.

“Sir, you have a meeting at 9:00 with Wilson again. After that, you have a meeting at 2:00 with the Anderson's. Then you have a conference call at 4:00 and that's all for today.” I said while giving him a small smile.

“Ok you can go now,” he said. I internally sighed and went to my office and start doing my work. I attend the meetings with Aiden and believe me it was quite boring. I was so focused on my work that I didn't notice anyone entering.

“Hello,” a lady in her mid-forties spoked.

“Um hello, I'm so sorry I didn't see you coming” I smiled sheepishly. 

“It's ok dear. I want to meet Aiden,” she said.

“Ok and you are....?” I asked. He faces looked very similar but I dont know who she was.

“His mother,” she said with a smile.

“oh, I'm sorry Mrs knight I don't know,” I said politely. I hope she dont fire me for not recognizing her. It's not like I have seen her before so its not my fault.

“call me Adalyn dear,” she said with a smile still plastered on her face. Truth to be told I prefer Maam or Mrs knight but I didn't argue.

“Um, ok, Adalyn but you have to wait for a while. Mr knight is gone with Mr Wilson to discuss some important things about the new project.” I said.

“Ok I don't mind waiting,” she said while taking a seat.

“oh I forgot to introduce myself my name is Ella Matthews I'm Mr.knight's PA,” I said while shaking her hand

“it was nice meeting you Ella,” she said still with a smile. Why is she so cheery? I feel like a dead zombie. 

“Do you need anything to drink?” I asked politely.

“no thanks,” she replied. Ok then!

“Are you enjoying working here? I have heard my son is not easy to work with?” she asked after a while of silence.

“Honestly I like working here. Mr.knight can be demanding sometimes but it's not that bad.” I said truthfully. Even if I do want to kill him sometimes because somedays he makes me work after office hours but I kind of expected this much.

“I know he can be very difficult sometimes but if he ever gave you a hard time please tell me I will kick his a*s for you,” she said while laughing lightly. I gave her an awkward smile, I will tell you if I could but I dont want to get fired. Suddenly my door opened and Aiden entered.

“Hello mom” he greeted her while giving her a hug.

“Hey baby,” Madalyn said while returning the hug.

“Come on let's go to my office,” he said while taking her hand.

“Sure. It was lovely meeting you Ella” Madalyn said while giving me a hug. I was taken aback but returned the hug.

“Likewise,” I said. 

They went to their office and I went to the cafeteria. I went towards our table. Stella and Olivia were already seated there.

“Hey guys,” I said while smiling at them.

“Hey Ella,” they said in unison. Believe me its a bit creepy when they speak in unison but I didn't comment on that.

“I have something to tell you,” Stella said after I had settled down and ordered my food.

“What,” I asked curiously.

“Noah asked me to be his girlfriend and I agreed,” she said excitedly. Woah that was fast.

“Wait a minute Noah as in Mr.knight's friend,” Olivia asked bewildered.

“yeah congrats Stella,” I said with a grin.

“Wow congrats,” Olivia said and gave her a side hug.

“thanks. I'm so happy” stella said and grinned.

We talked for a while then went back to work. I have been working for a while, it was finally time to go home. I was packing my bag when I got a call.

“Hello, its Aiden corps how can I help you,” I said. Please no more work!

“Ella I want to talk to you about something. Come in my office” Aiden said and cut the call. Rude!

“okay.." I said at the handset and put it back with a sigh.

I went to the office and knocked on his door and went inside.

“Yes sir?” I asked. Im about to die please dont give me more work.

“Sit down,” he said. I sat down on a chair.

“Ella next week me and my family are going on a trip. I want you to go with us” he said still not looking up at me from his phone.

What?????? why???

“What sir and why do you need me?”I asked. Im avoiding you, I cant go with you, I wanted to say but decided against it.

“You know we have a very important project and I can't leave it so I will work there and I need you there with me,” he said. So much for avoiding him I thought. This person is a robot. Who works on a holiday? Him of course.

“And in front of my family you will go as my girlfriend,” he said while shrugging his shoulder like its not a big deal. Like he just not dropped a bomb on me.

“What?” I exclaimed with shock evident in my voice. What the hell? 

“Yes they saw our photos from that charity event and that's why my mother thinks that you are my girlfriend. I didn't correct her because as you know my reputation with girls, my mom doesn't like it and want me to settle down so that's why I thought my mom will leave me alone if I told her that I have a girlfriend,” he explained. Then go and hire a fake actress dude. Im not doing your dirty work for you.

“No way I'm acting like your fake girlfriend,” I said angrily.

“It's only for a week,” he said. 

“You can find any girl you want. Just tell your mother that I only accompanied you to that charity event as your PA.”I said. No way in hell I will make him my fake boyfriend.

“See our pictures,” he said while handing me a newspaper.

I saw our pictures. Oh my god in the first picture we are standing so freaking close. In the second picture, Aiden is leaning down. In the next picture, he kissed my cheek and slowly brushed his nose against mine. And the headlines read who is the mystery girl?. I looked angrily at Aiden who was smirking at me. The nerve of this guy!

“So yeah you have to come with me otherwise I will fire you and will make sure that you don't get a job in any respectable company,” he said. Ok, now I was fuming with anger. I closed my eyes and take a deep breath and stand up. I opened my eyes and there Aiden was standing in front of me smirking. When did he come here? He started moving towards me and I moved backwards in nervousness. Suddenly my back hit the wall. Ohh yeah, cliché scene. He put his hands on my both sides and trapped me in and slowly leaned down. I gulped and put my hand on his chest to stop him, but he caught my hand and put it above my head. Now our lips were inches apart. He looked me in the eyes before closing them and softly pressed his lips against mine. I put my other hand on his chest in an attempt to push him away, but he caught it too and put it above my head too. He was holding them above my head. Great just f*****g great. He started moving his lips against me but I didn't give in. He opened his eyes and looked at me in a warning but still, me being me I didn't give in. He forcefully moved his lips against mine. He was demanding entrance but I didn't give. He used his other hand and squeezed my butt which made me gasp. He used this opportunity and put his tongue inside my mouth. I want to give in so badly but I knew that this was wrong. He lightly bit my lip and I lost it. I lightly kicked him between his legs. He groaned and moved away. I snickered while he glared at me.

"Goodbye Mr.knight," I said and ran outside. After grabbing my bag I went home. After eating my dinner I went to bed. How will I survive a whole week with him as his girlfriend? I mean he gave me no choice. Do that or get fired. With these thoughts, I went to sleep.
