Chapter 6

Ella POV

I am currently looking for a fancy dress. I don't have any dress so that's why I'm shopping for a dress with Stella and Olivia.

“Guys come on it's been an hour, and we still didn't find anything. Let's eat first then we will continue.” I pleaded with them. They both ignored me and continue their search.

“Finally I found it,” Olivia said excitedly

“oh wow,” Stella said while eyeing the dress.

“Go try it,” Olivia said while handing me the dress I have to admit that it was a very nice dress. It was not that fancy and was quite decent. Exactly what I need.

It was a backless black dress with a slit. I love it and it was also affordable. I wore it and went to show them.

“Oh my god, you look gorgeous,” Stella said.

“wow,” Olivia said

I blushed and thanked them and went to pay for it. After shopping, We went to eat something because I was starving. After that, I went to my apartment to get ready.

I did a light makeup look. I don't like heavy makeup and simply straighten my hair. Finally, I was ready. Suddenly I heard the doorbell. I grab my bag and went outside. There standing was Aiden in a fitted black suit. He was looking devilishly handsome. His dark brown hair was in a messy state but it looked very good on him. I could also see the outline of his abs due to his tight shirt. Danm!. I was checking him out. A sound of a throat clearing brought me back from my thoughts. I looked down blushing because he caught me checking him out.

“You look ravishing,” he said in his husky voice.

“Thanks. You look quite good too.” I said. I welcomed him inside.

“I brought you this. wear it,” he said while handing me jewellery set. I opened it. I hate to admit it, it was a very cute set.

Aiden POV

“Wow, its amazing,” she said with a smile.

“I know you will like it. Now take off your previous one.” I said.

She took off her previous jewellery set and put it on the table and wear the one I bought her.

“ Can I put this one in your room?” I said while taking her set. She nodded and pointed me towards her room and I went there. Her room was of black. Her room was quite messy but at the same time, it was giving a very warm feeling.

I went towards her dressing table and put her set there. I was about to go when something in her drawer caught my eye. I opened her drawer and was shocked to see a g*n. A g*n? why she had a g*n?

I don't understand it. I took the tissue paper out from my pocket and hold the g*n with it and check its bullets. There were only 5 bullets. Weird. I put the g*n back and went outside.

“What took you so long,” Ella asked curiously.

“I was looking at your room. It's very nice.” I said while giving her a small smile.

“Thanks. Come on let's go,” she said while returning the smile. All the way there was only one thing on my mind. Even if having a g*n is normal her g*n was not full.2 bullets were missing and it looks like it hasn't been used for a long time. There was dust on it. I parked my car and then went towards to open her door.

“Thank you,” she said. I held her hand in mine and we went inside together. The hall was quite beautifully decorated. The tables were simple yet there was dramatic lighting on it. We talked with some business associates. After some time people went to dancing I asked Ella for a dance, and we went on the dance floor. I put my hands on her waist, and she put her arms around my neck. I pulled her close and listen to her breath getting hitched. I smirked, I know that she also felt these sparks whenever we make contact. I put my face in the crook of her neck and inhaled.

Did you just smell her my subconscious mind said in disgust

“Did you just smelled me?” Ella asked bewildered.

“So what you smell amazing,” I said Then I planted a kiss on her neck.

“Wha-what are y-you doing stop it.” Ella stuttered and tried to push me.

I smiled and looked deeply in her eyes. I slowly leaned down and kissed her cheek then I purposely brushed her nose and kissed her on another cheek. All this time her eyes were closed. I looked up at her face. She slowly opened her eyes and look at me. The song ended and we went back to our seats. I looked towards Ella, but she didn't meet my eyes. She was such a beautiful girl. I did know why but I want to know more about her even her secrets. I want to know her likes and dislikes. I want to know her dreams. I want to know her past, but she had a wall built around her and her heart. After that, I went to give a speech. Finally, after a while, we were ready to go back home. We didn't speak a word to each other on our way back. I stopped the car in front of her home.

“thanks and goodnight,” she muttered

“goodnight,” I said

I saw her went inside and then I went to my parent's house. I missed them. I reached there in about 20 minutes. I pressed the doorbell. After a minute the door was opened by my 18-year-old sister.

“Hey bro,” she said hugging me.

“Hey little one,” I said while returning her hug.

“I'm not little any more” she groaned. I just laughed at her and went inside.

“look who decided to join us tonight,” my mom said while playfully glaring at me.

“Hello to you too mom,” I said sarcastically while giving her a kiss on the cheek.

“Where is dad,” I asked looking around.

“He will be here in a minute. He's having a shower. ”my mom said.

We all sat in the living room. We talked about random things. After a while, my father came. I greeted him and we talked some about business. My father was sleepy so he left early. Anna, my sister also went to sleep because she had school tomorrow.

“Ok come on tell me what's bothering you?” mom asked me. That's the thing I love about her. She knew me so well.

“Nothing much. It's just there is a girl-

“a girl” mom said cutting me off while raising her eyebrows.

“Yes a girl who is my PA. Her name is Ella. I kinda like her, but she had a wall built around herself. I don't know why but I had a feeling that she is hiding something and you know what mom I see her fight three goons the other day and today I see a g*n in her bedroom drawer. Ok I know maybe that's not weird but mom her g*n was neither empty nor full. It only has 5 bullets and it looked like the g*n hasn't been used in quite a long time.” I told her everything. I don't hide anything from my mother.

“Hmm, maybe she had a very bad past or something. That's why she doesn't let you or anyone close and second of all you are her boss so maybe she feels weird or something and about the g*n like I said maybe she had a very bad past that's why she keeps a g*n to keep herself safe.” mom said after thinking for a while.

“Maybe you are right. I will tell my private investigator to find information about her.” I said sighing and wele settled in a comfortable silence.

“Do you love her.” my mom asked after a while.

“Isn't it too early to tell,” I asked?

“No I don't think so, you know what they say that You can be in a relationship for two years and feel nothing; you can be in a relationship for two months and feel everything so time is not a measure of quality; of infatuation, or love,” mom said while giving me a small smile.

“I can't say I love her but I care about her,” I said while looking down.

“I want to see her by the way.” she said after a while. I looked at her and gave her the look.

"Oh come on. Im not gonna say anything to her." She said. 

“You can come to the office on Monday.” i sighed.

“Ok sure thing,” my mom said excitedly.

I crashed at my parent's house today because it was late, and I was so tired. I changed my clothes and went to bed.
