Chapter 4

Aiden POV

Today was really a hectic day. I want to let loose and maybe get laid. I'm still very angry at Ella and why am I angry I don't even know that myself. When she said she has plans I suddenly got jealous. What if she had plans with a man? But why should I care? In fact, I DON'T care.

You do my subconscious mind said

I don't why do you think I care I said

Because you are continuously thinking about her my subconscious mind said in a 'duh' tone

How can you say that? You don't even know what I am thinking I said irritated.

I hope you know that we are basically the same person my subconscious mind mocked me

Oh, yeah I am going crazy. I am arguing with my own self.

Finally, you realized that you are crazy my subconscious mind said

I was pulled out of my thoughts by the ringing of my phone. I checked the caller ID and it was my best friend Noah.

“Hey man. what's up?”

“Hi! Nothing much dude. You tell me why you called?”

“Why? can't I call you?” he said while fake gasping. Drama queen

“Do you want to tell me why you called or should I end the call?” I said annoyed.

“I want to ask if you want to join me tonight. I'm going to a club,” he said. I thought about it for a second. Why not go its not like I have something to do anyways

“Yeah sure send me the address.”

“Ok will do”

I went to my penthouse to change. I was wearing a grey shirt with a black leather jacket and black pants. I wasn't in the mood to wear my suits.

I went outside and start my car. After a short while, I reached the place. I went inside and straight to the VIP section. There I saw my best friend sitting at a corner booth while flirting with a girl.

He was wearing a dark blue shirt with blue pants. I went towards them and cleared my throat to get their attention.

“Hey bro”

“hey,” I said while doing our usual handshake

“Darling I will see you later,” Noah said to that girl. She winked at him and went away.

After she was gone, we both ordered tequilas. We both talked for a while about business and stuff, when suddenly noah said.

“Yo man look at those girls. wow, they are looking beautiful.” He said while pointing to that girls. I looked where he is pointing and my breath got hitched and I can even listen to my own heartbeats. There were standing Stella, Olivia and Ella. They all look good but Ella.... She was looking amazing in her black dress.

“Aiden come on we should go to them, ”Noah said

“Noah they are my employees,” I said

“so what? I'm not going to sleep with your employees.”Noah said

“They are still my employees," I said while still looking at Ella.

"Come on!" He said pleadingly.

"Ok fine but try not to flirt with any of them. Okay?" I said. They are still my employees. I dont want them to get the wrong impression.

"We'll see," he said while walking towards them. I sighed and followed him. They all were laughing about something but when they see us they stopped and looked at us wide-eyed. I stand near Ella. Olivia was the first to say something.

“Hello, Mr.knight”

“Hello, Olivia. This is my best friend Noah. Is it ok if we join you guys.”I asked politely.

“No problem sir,” Olivia said

“Call me Aiden. we are not at the office, ”I said

“Ok Aiden,” she said smiling

“let's order our drinks then,” Stella said while breaking the awkward silence. I mean what could we even talk with them about.

“I need a beer” Olivia said to the waiter

“I will get a whiskey,” Noah said.

“me too,” Stella said while smiling at Noah and he gave her one of his famous smirks.

“I will get a beer too and Ella you,” I asked while looking in her eyes. She stared back at me and believe me for a moment I forgot that we were sitting in a club with blasting music and were surrounded by people.

"Just water,” she said while breaking eye contact.

“Ok, Ella just order one drink. You won't get drunk from it.”Stella said.

“No Stella I'm good,” Ella said while giving her a look.

"Pretty please," stella asked again while giving her puppy eyes. Why is she forcing her anyway. She dont has to drink if she dont wants to but before I could say something Olivia beat me to it

“Its ok stella, just bring her anything that is not alcoholic," Olivia said to the waiter.

After our drinks, we talked for some while. You know getting to know each other. I always thought stella is very annoying but surprisingly she was not that bad. After a while of talking and drinking, we went to the dance floor.

I paired up with Ella while Olivia was dancing with Stella and Noah. I put my hands on Ella's waist and pulled her close. She bumped into my chest and her hair fall on the side of her face. She gasped and look at me with wide eyes. I thought i would never utter these words but Danm she's beautiful.

“what are you doing Mr.knight,” she said while trying to get out of my grip but i tighten my arms around her.

“call me Aiden, and we are dancing,” I said while smirking. I pulled her more close if it was possible.

“Aiden stop I don't wanna dance with you,” she said still struggling

“Come on relax. I'm not going to eat you,” I said and gently tugged her hair behind her ear. Our mouths were inches apart. I looked deeply in her eyes and then I closed the distance between us and softly pressed my lips to hers. I closed my eyes savouring the moment. Then she did something unexpected. She PUSHED me. I stumbled backwards but thank god I didn't fall. I looked at her with confusion. She just turned back and ran away.

“What happened to her,” Noah asked

“I don't know but I am going after her,” I said and ran after her.

Ella POV

Oh my god. He f*****g kissed me. I lost my first kiss to my boss and then I ran away. wow, so mature Ella. Technically I didnt kissed him back so I still have my first kiss right?

Ok, but admit that it was a good kiss. My subconscious mind decided that it's the perfect time to comment.

He is our boss. You know it will be quite awkward. I said.

So what it's not like you kissed him. He kissed you. my subconscious mind said.

That's a good point. Where I am running by the way. Then I see the sign of washroom. I was about to go inside when a hand caught my wrist and pulled me back and I bumped into a hard chest.

“What the f**k dude,” I said. When I looked towards the person face my breath got hitched. Aiden was there looking at me angrily.

“Why did you run away,” he said angrily?

“First leave me,” I said while trying to wriggle out of his grip. I can easily kick him and get out of his grip but I can't because of two reasons. Firstly he is my boss, secondly, I don't want him to get suspicious that how can I outrun a muscular man like himself.

“First answer my question,” he said while tightening his grip on my wrist. Ouch, that hurt. My poor wrist.

“I was feeling awkward after the kiss. Ok,” I said. Finally, I freed myself and took some steps back. He looked at me for a few seconds then start taking small steps toward me. I stepped backwards, but he was taking more steps toward me. How cliché and you know what there is a wall behind me just like how it happens in movies or novels.

“Stop there,” I said in fact half yelled. He stopped seeing my outburst.

“You think that you will take steps towards me and I will move backwards. Then my back will hit the wall and then you will cage me while putting your both hands on my side than sorry to tell you this is not a movie.”I said glaring at him.

He looked at me with a small smile on his face. I walked past him and went outside. After exiting from the club. I start walking because me being a genius I didn't charge my phone and I did not bring my car because it wasn't working. I was hoping that Olivia will give me a ride home but I don't want to ruin her night so I start walking towards my home it was a 15 or 20-minute walk but I don't mind it. In fact, it will give me time to clear my head.
