Chapter Seven.

ALYSSA’S POV

I left the lobby and entered the elevator to my office floor,I dropped my bag in my office first before going to handsome punks office to clean. The office was neat when I got there so I didn’t do much,I went back to my office and sat down waiting for the arrival of Mr Xavier. Like an hour or so everywhere was so boring with nothing to do,I only heard chattering from the staffs and almost immediately the noise dies down,the hallway was silent like an angel was passing by. The landline rang out and I was startled,I cleared my throat before answering.

“Good morning this is W.....”

“In my office now.”I dropped the line as he hanged up and I breathe out slowly,you can do this Aly. I walked to his office and knocked and as usual he ushered me in.

“Good morning sir.”I greeted and he stared or should I say glared at me before speaking.

“When did you get to the office Miss Brown?”he asked and I was silent m,why is he asking that now.

“I came in a.... at 6:55 sir,but the security guards refused to let me in without a pass.”I explained and he scoffed.

“You want to use the guards as an excuse Miss Brown,you got to the office at 7:05 You were five minutes late and you’re lying you came at 6:55.”he said.

“I’m not lying sir,I.....”

“And who gave you the permission to speak.”he hits the table and I bowed my head.

“Miss Brown you know you are not yet fully employed yet,right?”he asked

“Yes sir.”I answered trying to hold back my tears.

“And you are already disobeying the rules I gave to you and you want me to employ you.”I kept quiet and he banged his hand on the table again,but this time more forceful.

“Miss Brown when I ask you something you reply.” Gosh! What’s wrong with this guy? Is He bipolar.

“Miss Brown.”he yelled.

“Yes sir.” “Now Miss Brown you have just two minutes to go into your office and get your things out of my company.” WHAT! What the hell!

I went on my knees immediately,I can’t lose this job not after seeing the smile on mum’s face last night. I cant lose the job and give Frank the impression that I really slept with this guy god this guy should just kill me.

“Please sir,I promise to come early tomorrow. Just don’t fire me please.”I begged almost at the brim of tears but he just stared at me with disinterest.

“You’ve just a minute and half to leave.”he spat out and a tear rolled out but I quickly wipe it off. I don’t want him to see me cry.

“Please sir,I really need this job and I promise I will never go against you again. Please.”I clasped my hands together begging him.

“Fine,this will be your last chance Miss Brown. If you come late or you’re not in your office when I arrive then you’re definitely getting fired.”I nodded happily.

“Thank you sir.”I stood up and dragged my raised skirt down”

“What is on my schedule today?”I cleared my throat before speaking.

“Sir you have a meeting here in the company with the planning department team head and also a meeting at ZING LIMITED at 2.”I said and he grumbled holding his forehead.

“ZING LIMITED again,I want you to cancel any meeting with ZING for the next four months. I don’t want to partner with a Chinese company,are those the only meetings on my schedule?”he asked.

“Yes sir.” “And who am I having a meeting with again.”I checked the iPad on my hand.

“Mr Khalid sir.”he groaned again.

“That man is too short and god I hate to see his bald head so I’ll pass,tell my manager to hold the meeting in my stead.”he said and I was baffled,does he normally complain about the person he is having a meeting with. What a narcissist.

“What do you think miss Brown.”he asked and I was forced to ask *about what*.

“Don’t Tell me you weren’t paying attention to what I’ve been saying for the past minute.”

“Hmmm,sir I think you are so handsome.”What the hell am I saying?. I stared at him as a smile graced his lips.

“Yes I’m really handsome and I can’t trade or partner with those big bellies ugly men.”he said and that confirmed my thoughts,he is really a narcissist. “So that means all meetings for today is cancelled.”

“Yes sir.” “You can leave but come back once it’s lunchtime.”he said and I replied a little ‘yes sir’ before leaving.

As soon as I got to my office,I slumped on the chair and sighed. Didn’t dream I would be getting fired on my second day of working,I called mr ZING about Mr Xavier cancellation. I also told the manager to hold the meeting with the planning head. Finally it was lunch,so I quickly went to boss’s office.

“Miss Brown good thing you are here,here is the thing my feet’s are sore and I cant go get my lunch. You have to get it for me,here is what you will get for me.”I took the paper from him and glanced through it. Some cupcakes,two sausages and hamburgers,an ice cream sundae and americano.

“What are you waiting for,go get them Miss Brown.” “With what money sir.”I asked.

“Yours Miss Brown.” Wait what?,did he just say with my money. I looked at him then the list and pout,these foods looks expensive and I don’t have enough money to buy everything.

“Is there a problem Miss Brown.”he asked and I shook my head. “N.... No sir.”

“Then leave already,am hungry.”

“Yes sir.”I scurried out with my shaky legs out of his office,went to mine and took the last five dollars from my purse. I entered the elevator and pressed the first floor button and as I came out I bumped into a lady who looks like a modern human Barbie. Face,ass and boobs are all filled with fillers and silicons.

“So sorry ma’am.”I apologized and made to leave but she drew me back.

“Are you blind?. How can a lowlife like you bump into me, Carly,Carly.”she yelled and another lady rushed forward and sprayed something on her body.

“Next time I will not take it likely with you,but you see am in a happy mood and no lowlife like you can make me mad.”she said and walked away with her crews leaving me tongue tied. I shook my head and continue walking.

“Hey Aly.”Tania called with a smile as I pass her table.

“Hi Tania,how’re doing?”

“Good and you,how is Mr Xavier treating you?” Trust me girl,you don’t wanna know.

“Fine I guess.”I shrugged and she laughed.

“You guess,where are you off to?”

“To go get lunch for Mr Xavier.”she frowned.

“Get lunch that’s new,Mr Xavier always get his lunch from the cafeteria.”I sighed. Maybe he’s doing it to punish me for coming late.

“I gotta go,I don’t want Mr CEO to get angry.”I added

“Yeah.”I ran out but bumped into someone again,okay why am i bumping into strangers today.

“Hey pretty.”he said and I raised my head.

“Tris.”

“Where are you going?” “To get lunch.”

“Then let’s go,I’ll take you there.” The restaurant wasn’t that far from the company,I got everything on the list and they wrapped it up for me.

“Here ma’am.”the sales girl handed the bag to me.

“How much is it?”I asked collecting the bag and praying for it not to be expensive.

“Five dollars ma’am.”I groaned.

“Her.....”Tristan held my hand and I stared at him.

“Don’t worry I’ll pay for this.”he offered.

“Thanks but I can pay for it.”I said hoping he would decline and he did.

“No I’m paying for your lunch and that’s final.”he said and I smiled. I watched as he paid for everything and we walked back to the company.

“Okay this is where we part,Bye Aly.”he said.

“Thanks Tris.”I hugged him.

“It’s fine,now go before Mr Xavier finds out you’re not in your office yet.” God he’s so caring.

“Okay.”I took the elevator to my floor.
