Chapter Six.

XAVIER POV

The driver rode into my mansion and as he parked I opened the door and stepped out,I instructed the guards to bring my things inside and as soon as I entered the house my little angel jumped on my body.

“Welcome daddy!”she said enthusiastically and I pecked her head.

“Someone is happy today,how are you love?”I asked and she nodded her head.

“I’m fine daddy,what about you?”

“Daddy is fine.”I replied but she frowned.

“Really.” “Yes.”

“Daddy are you lying to me so I won’t be worried,aren’t you tired from all those looooong boring meetings.”she said in a mature way making me laugh.

“Nope daddy isn’t tired,I’ve gotten a secretary to do some of my works so I’m all good.”she gasped.

“You got a secretary,what about my nanny.”she said with a pout.

“Don’t worry daddy is going to get you a new nanny very soon.”I said and I knew what was coming next.

“But remember daddy,I want a very beautiful nanny with long curly black hair like mine.”she said childishly and I smiled,long curly black hair my mind moved back to my new secretary she had long black hair,shiny ones.

“Hello,dad dad.”Chelsea snapped her little fingers on my face and I blinked coming back to reality,I can’t believe I just zoned out.

“Huh What?” “You look lost daddy,are you okay.”

“I’m sorry baby,so how was school today did you eat lunch and dinner.”

“Yes daddy and school was fine there was this cute new boy in my class and his name is Lawrence.”I paused when did Chelsea start checking out cute boy in her class.

“Is that so,you like him.”I teased and her cheeks became red immediately.

“No I don’t like him daddy,I just said he was cute that’s all.”she said shaking her head and I forced myself not to laugh. I like the shy Chelsea better.

“Okay if you say so Chels but dad need to freshen up and also eat dinner because daddy is famished.”she nodded and got down from my hand.

“Goodnight daddy.”she pecked my cheeks and forehead and l also did the same.

“Goodnight angel and please don’t dream about law what was his name again.”I arched my brows playfully.

“Dad!! I will not dream about him and his name is LAWRENCE.”she yelled and rushed upstairs making me laughed,my sweet little Chelsea. I wish you were here to see how grown up your daughter has been Charlotte,I’ve miss you a lot babe,why did you leave us like that. I sighed shaking the sad memory off before going to my room and placed the briefcase on the table before taking my tie and tux off. I entered the bathroom with my brief boxers and turned on the shower and had a long bath,I walked out with a towel tied on my waist and my phone started ringing, I checked the caller ID and saw Ben so I reluctantly picked it up.

“Hey bro what’s up.”

“What do you want Ben?”

“Come on Xavier are you still made at me.”I can imagine him pouting at the other side of the phone.

“Say whatever you want to say or else am hanging up.”I barked and he sighed.

“Chill man heard you got a new secretary today.”I frowned,how did he know so fast.

“So.”I know where he’s driving at but I won’t give him whatever he wants.

“I was thinking of stopping by tomorrow.”

“No thanks,I don’t want your presence in my company so stay at yours.”I held my head,dealing with Ben is like dealing with a baby even Chelsea is more mature than him.

“But I really want to see you new secretary and I heard she’s hot like dead drop beautiful.”

“You know what,you will see her when we get to sign the contract.”he gasped and I smirked.

“What that’s like three to four months from now.”he whined.

“Goodbye Ben.”

“No don’t you dare hang up on me Xavier W.....”I ended the call with a smile. Ben as always will always be a man w***e,going after everything in skirts and speaking of my secretary she’s really beautiful and hot just as Ben said,I shook my head as she came into my thoughts. I can’t forget the promise I made to her and I will keep it until I die,all I’ve to do now is to get a reliable and caring nanny for my daughter.

ALYSSA’S POV

I got up an abruptly at the sound of my alarm,I sighed before getting up with sleepy eyes and truth be told I don’t know how I entered the bathroom and took a bath or when I dressed up ‘cause I was so tired,just a day at the office and I’m so lazy then what about the upcoming days,months or even years. After dressing up in a more longer skirt I went to the living room.

“Good morning mum.”I placed a peck on her face.

“Morning love you are up early.”I nodded and made to leave but she dragged me back.

“Are you leaving now.”

“Yes Mum.” “It’s just 6,what about breakfast.”she asked but I shook my head.

“I can’t Mum,I need to get to the bus station early in order to get to work on time.”

“Alright take care and don’t forget to eat breakfast.”

“I will Mum.”I ran out and walked hurriedly to the bus station and luckily for me the bus came on time,I entered with other passengers and the driver drove off. I paid the driver before leaving and I rushed to the company.

“Good morning sir.”I greeted the and made to walk in but I was stopped.

“Where are you going Ma’am.”the taller one asked and I was surprised.

“To the office of course.”I almost rolled my eyes.

“Do you work here?”he asked and I nodded.

“Yes,am Mr Xavier’s Secretary.”I said with a proud smile but the security guard didn’t change the frown on his face.

“Show me your pass.”he asked and I paused,pass what pass?. Nobody gave me a f*****g pass.

“Uhmmm sir I... I don’t have any pass for now.”I stuttered and the security guard smirked,I guess he was having pleasure in my plight.

“That’s clearly shows you don’t work here,’cause every single staff of the company has his/her pass. I will advice you to leave peacefully ma’am.”

“You see sir I actually started yesterday,so maybe Mr Xavier forgot to hand me my pass.”I explained biting my lip. Someone stopped his/her car at the gate, I checked the time and my eyes almost bulge out 6:55,oh god! Am so dead.

“Hey.”someone called and it turned to see the receptionist coming out of the car.

“Hey.”I walked towards her.

“Good morning remember me the receptionist.”she asked. Of course I do with the way you stared at me I wouldn’t forget you.

“Yes I do.”

“What’s wrong?,why are you standing here?”she looked at the security guard and to me.

“The security guards said I can’t go in without my work pass.”

“Oh that.”she faced the guard who now has a little smile on his face. “Don’t worry she works here.”she said and they allowed me in. Thank god.

“Thanks .....”I paused I just realized I didn’t know her name.

“I’m Tania.” “Thanks Tania,am very grateful.”

“You are welcome.” “Oh am sorry am Alyssa.”

“Nice meeting you Aly,I can call you that right.”I shrugged. “Sure.”
