I thought Nadia would be afraid of my suggestion.

However, she puffed her chest up when she heard this. “Let’s go. Who do you think is scared?”

“Urm…”

I had no idea how to react when I saw her taking such initiative.

I smiled with embarrassment and pointed to a bench at the side. “Let’s sit down and talk.”

Nadia did not reject me. She nodded in agreement. “Okay.”

It could have been that our previous conversation was too intense. Now that we were sitting on the bench, we both went silent.

Nadia finally spoke up after quite a while. “Freddie, were you very worried about me just now?”

“Roxy is quite terrible. She has always bullied me in the entrepreneur society because she has a stronger family background than me. I never expected things to get this bad.”

“This is my fault. If I hadn’t revealed what happened between us, things wouldn’t have ended up this way,” I said apologetically.

“I don’t blame you for it. I was the one who had made the first move. If there’s someone to blame, it should be Roxy for being horrible.”

She was not blaming me at all?

I was quite surprised.

I had always thought she would suffer from low self-esteem and blame me for everything after sleeping with me.

At this point, I asked her, “So, do you have a good plan after thinking about it for so long?”

“I guess I do,” Nadia said without confidence.

“What do you mean by you guess you do? So, do you have a plan or not?”

“There is one, but I have no idea if it will work. Our society is different from other clubs. We need to obtain a certain amount of sponsorship money every year as our society members’ venture capital fund. If I can obtain a sponsorship worth more than her, I can continue defending my post as president, but that would be impossible. “Alright. I know. How about we head back now? I think our classmates are starting to get quite worried.”

“I don’t want to go back. Can you stay with me a while longer?” Nadia suddenly laid down on the bench and placed her head on my lap.

This made the atmosphere between us quite intimate.

We were like a couple in love.

The call was from Lorne.

“What are all of you doing here?”

“Who is that?”

Nadia heard the commotion and got up from my lap.

When she saw our classmates in front of us, her face instantly turned red. She was so embarrassed she wanted a hole to open up from the ground to swallow her up.

“We weren’t gone for long, Freddie. It was only a few minutes.” Chris chuckled, a naughty look on his face.

“What the f**k? Why didn’t you say anything?” I wished I could give Chris a few slaps. Had he done this on purpose?

However, compared to slapping him, the most important thing right now was to explain the situation.

“Well, I found Nadia, but she’s still emotionally unstable, so I took some time to console her. Don’t take this the wrong way.”

“We get it.” Chris gave me a look to say that he understood what was happening as another man. “Well, if Nadia is fine, then we should all go home. Let’s not disturb them.”

“That’s right. We should leave and give them some space.”

Everyone winked at me and left one by one.

Nadia’s face was not as red anymore once they left.

She glared at me and said coquettishly, “Did you do that on purpose, Freddie? Why didn’t you tell me that they were here?”

“Great. Now everyone knows about us. How embarrassing.”

“Sigh. Since they’ve already found out about it, just let them be. How about if we return to school now?”

“No, I don’t want to,” Nadia said with put-on anger. “I’m hungry. Buy me lunch.”

I returned to Waterfront Paradise after my meal with Nadia. There was no class in the afternoon.

When I got home, I got a call from Vincent.

“Young Master, we’ve done a thorough investigation on Simon Landry. He has been receiving a huge amount of bribes while working with us as the general manager of Stamen Real Estate. He has also gone against the rules, causing our group huge losses. What do you think we should do with him, Young Master?”

“What do you think?”

The general manager of Stamen Real Estate was no common employee, which was why I needed to respect Vincent’s opinion in case I made a mistake with my decision and left a negative impact.

“Simon Landry isn’t directly related to us, Young Master, which is why it would be best to fire him immediately. However, there might some difficulty with this. I will take care of this personally during the board meeting tomorrow.”
