Chapter 27

“Alright. Since you’re in such a hurry to sleep with me, I’ll make sure your wish comes true.” I smiled and strode forward. I led the others straight to the VIP lane in front. As we were about to reach the lane, Nadia suddenly called out to me. “Wait a minute, Freddie.” “What’s wrong?” I lifted my head to look at her. “Those tickets are fake, aren’t they? I’ll give you a chance to back out on this on account that we’re classmates. There’s still time for you to decide to leave right now.” Nadia looked at me coldly, but I could tell she was nervous through her tone. “Looks to me like you’re the one planning to back out. How about if I gave you a chance instead?” I chuckled as I looked at her. “Bullshit! I would never back out on a bet!” Nadia was just as willful as before. “If you’re not backing out, what are we waiting for? Let’s get those tickets verified!” I strode quickly to the entrance after saying this. Compared to the normal concert entrances, the VIP lane was quite empty… There were only the four of us standing outside at the moment. I handed the tickets to the ticket collector under the envious eyes of numerous fans. However, the ticket collector did not let us in immediately after accepting the tickets. He held the tickets and began checking them seriously. A look of delight immediately appeared on Nadia’s face at this sight. She quickly said to the ticket collector, “Are those tickets fake, Mister?” The ticket collector did not reply to her. He moved the tickets closer to look them over properly and said with slight doubt, “Sir, Miss, please give me a moment. I need to consult my manager.” He turned to leave after that. Nadia could not help laughing out loud behind me. “I’ve said before that they were fake, Freddie. You’ve dug yourself a real hole now. That ticket collector must be getting the security guard right now! Shouldn’t you start running away?” “Hoho, let’s not be anxious. We can stand to wait a little longer.” Even though I was not sure why the ticket collector needed to consult his manager, I was confident about one thing. Those tickets were definitely not fake. “I’m gonna see you get exposed with my own eyes!” Nadia said coldly. She had just uttered those words when the ticket collector suddenly returned. There was a man covered in sweat running beside him. “Dear honored guests, please come in. I’m the security manager of the concert, and I apologize for the lack of service. Please do forgive us.” He quickly opened the gates for us. He even welcomed us in with a friendly gesture… Nadia was stunned to see this. She asked in astonishment, “Aren’t those tickets fake?” “Miss, the tickets you have are honorary VIP tickets. How could they be fake?” “But there isn’t even a stamp on them!” “Miss, you might not be aware of this, but the reason why there isn’t a stamp on them is that these four tickets were issued with Miss Owens’ personal signature. Do allow me to lead you inside.” Nadia opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but I did not want to continue to listen to her protests. I pushed her in, and we continued walking. Just like that, the four of us entered the stadium as all the fans stared enviously at us. … The manager led us to the VIP grandstand and we located our seats. It was only upon arrival that we finally understood what it meant to have those honorary VIP tickets. All four of our seats were excellent! How could I describe them? Our seats could be described as being akin to the judges’ panel on reality shows. We were directly facing the stage. “Gosh, we’re seriously near the stage. Freddie, you’re amazing! You did it with the tickets!” Chris could not help exclaiming. Natasha’s eyes were shining brightly next to him. She was surprised by this as well. She began tapping her phone. She could not stop taking pictures. I was reminded of something as I watched Natasha taking pictures. I took a couple of pictures of the stage and shared them in my class group chat. Everyone began talking about it after the message was sent out. “Oh my god, Freddie. Where exactly are you seated? That’s a great view.” “I know of a rich second-generation heir who is at the concert too, but he has a pretty bad view of the stage. It doesn’t compare to yours at all.” “Freddie, did you really manage to get the VIP tickets? You didn’t steal this picture from someone else, did you?” “@Freddie, did you take this picture yourself?” When some people in the chat began doubting me, I picked up my phone once more, snapped a couple of pictures of Nadia, and shared them with the group. I included Nadia in the picture this time. No one should doubt me now. It was just as I guessed. Everyone stopped doubting me when they saw the pictures. “Wow, your view is amazing. Stream live for us once the concert starts.” “Yup, Freddie, I beg of you. Please stream for us later. I really love Layla Owens.” “If I can’t watch the concert live, it would still be pretty nice to have such a clear live stream of it.” “Well, don’t just focus on Layla Owens. Think about what our dear class representative has to do next. Freddie has kept his end of the bargain and brought Nadia to the concert. Doesn’t that mean she’ll need to sleep with Freddie now?” The class chat went silent when this message popped up. Nadia turned pale in an instant when she read that message. It was clear that this frightening notion had just dawned on her. “Freddie, can we talk about this?” Nadia’s ghostly-pale face turned to look at me. “No, we can’t.” I knew what she wanted to talk about, which was why I denied her the chance without even needing to think twice. “You should have thought about the consequences when you tried to frame me.” “You… You know about that?” Nadia’s face looked even worse than before. “Ho, what do you think? You were the one who had this coming.” “It wasn’t my idea, it was Howard’s. Howard was the one who made me do it. Please forgive me.” Nadia was close to crying. However, the more she acted this way, the more annoyed I got. Was it so terrible for her to sleep with me? She should be so lucky. I had not even given Lindy the chance to sleep with me when she threw herself at me. “Alright. You should stop talking now. Let’s keep your end of the deal and meet after the concert is over.” I gave no room for Nadia to negotiate and immediately stopped her from blabbering. Just as I expected. She was absolutely crushed after I finished my words and looked particularly mournful. I turned to look at the stage happily after I was done talking to Nadia, waiting for Layla to appear. It was about half an hour later when the curtains on the stage slowly opened. Layla appeared in style to the screams of thousands of fans. Thundering cheers and claps erupted below the stage the moment she appeared. I knew Layla was immensely popular… However, I was still greatly astonished after experiencing such ear-shattering cheers. After my astonishment subsided, I was filled with pride instead. This was an immensely gorgeous and hugely popular superstar. She was my wife! Layla sang a total of thirty songs throughout her concert. There were a few songs where the entire stadium sang along with her. I had been touched by a few of her songs before, but I did not particularly love them. However, right now, I fell deeply in love with her songs. I was in love with her professionalism on stage and in love with her melodious voice. The concert officially ended at nine-thirty. Layla left the stage after bowing to the audience in thanks. The four of us left the concert through the VIP lane. “Freddie, that was an amazing concert, absolutely amazing!!!” Chris grabbed my arm after we left the stadium. He was trembling from the excitement. “Alright, just look at yourself! If you liked this that much, I’ll bring you to more concerts in the future.” “Can the other concerts compare to Layla Owens? If I had the chance, I would definitely attend a concert of hers again.” I smiled in my heart when I heard this. I had no idea if he would have the chance. However, I knew I definitely would. I might even have a high chance of hearing her singing in bed. The thought of this filled me with contentment. Chris suddenly asked, “Freddie, where did you get the VIP tickets from?” “Well, there’s no need for you to worry about that.” I forced a change in the conversation topic after that. “Urm… Where’s Nadia?” I turned to look around and noticed that Nadia was missing. “I have no idea. She disappeared right after we came out of the stadium. Could she have made a run for it?” “Is she trying to make an escape? I’m not gonna make it easy for her.” A sneer appeared at the corner of my lips as I took out my phone and tagged her in the class group chat. “@Nadia, where are you? You’ve already watched the concert. Shouldn’t you be honoring the bet and sleeping with me now?”
