Chapter One
In a small town in Los Angeles, California, a famous actor, Liam August, had begun his career in one night by posting a video on YouTube which received 1 million views. He was then contacted by an agent named Kilen Mase. He wanted to make a star and that's what Liam became. Before Fame and romance. Kilen looked out the limo. As Liam looked at Kilen he asked if everything was alright. Kilen took a moment to address Liam as he was sweating. "Well, the car has broken down." Kilen said, watching Liam rolling his eyes. "You and the driver can fix this mess. I'm going into the cafe for a coffee and toast." Liam said as he walked out of the car and into the cafe, leaving his client speechless. When Liam walked into the cafe, a girl named Rebecca was managing the cashier. While handling a guest, she noticed everyone stopped and staring at the door. The boy who became successful just three months ago was on YouTube singing a cover of a famous song in California. When he finally stepped up to the counter, Liam waited for the women to finish serving another person. When the girl was finished, Liam had stepped up on his phone, not paying attention to the woman. "Are you going to order something or are you going to keep staring at your phone?" Rebecca asked. "Rude much? Can I just have an avocado toast with black coffee? And if you mind, I have an important business plan to go attend soon." Liam said. "Ah alright," Rebecca went to the toaster to make the toast, then went to the cabinet to grab the avocado spread. When Rebecca had finished with the order, Liam paid and grabbed him and his manager's order, making his way to the car. When he entered the car, Kilen looked at Liam asking about the talk with the register lady. Liam didn't answer. The car then moved into the streets again. After Rebecca's shift she was paid only $2,000, which was enough for hospital bills and house bills, only leaving her with $300 left in her pocket. After her shift, she walked to the sidewalk to make her way to one of the Los Angeles hospitals. She looked around, making sure she wasn't being followed. When she made it across the street Rebecca had walked to the front desk. "Hi, I'm here to visit Mei Young, my mother," Rebecca said to the nurse as she handed Rebecca a "visitors card". Rebecca made her way upstairs after walking up a flight of stairs. She then went around the corner to see a room door open with her mother's name on it. Rebecca then sped to the room and walked inside the door to see her mother's bed empty. Immediately, she walked to the help desk a few steps away from her mother's room. "Hi, do you know where Mei Young is?" Rebecca asked urgently. "You poor thing, your mother is not alive anymore." The nurse said as Rebecca exhaled in a quick way. "What do you mean by that?" Rebecca asked. "She was last found on the steps in bad shape and well. We tried everything to get her on oxygen and had people carry her, but no one was there." said the nurse. Rebecca looked at the nurse then walked away from the hospital, going to the entrance. She wanted to be alone after today. The next morning Rebecca had woken up for work and walked down the streets of Los Angeles. Then she made her way to the cafe as Richard, Rebecca's boss, noticed that she wasn't herself. "Hey you, okay? I noticed as soon as you walked in, today was going to be a horrible day for you." Richard mentions. "Yeah..my mother passed away yesterday. She was found dead on the staircase," Rebeca said with a gulp. Richard looked at Rebecca and tried to convince himself that things would be better for her, but losing a parent was the worst. "You never know a strong man might just come in and sweep you to safety," Richard shrugged. Rebecca laughed as she saw the same car when she met Liam August across the street. "Does he always come here for coffee?" Rebecca asked. "Yes, his father used to bring him here before his mother had died. And well, he never stopped coming here." Richard said, going to the back. Liam walked into the coffee shop and then spotted Rebecca immediately. He saw how determined she was for her job as he watched her make his coffee. Rebecca returned to bring Richard his coffee and smiled. Before she could leave, Richard had called her name. "Rebecca, is it? I would like to invite you to the manor after your shift. As long as that's okay with you," Liam asked. "Yeah, sure I guess that I can come with you after my shift. Just don't kidnap me." Rebecca said as she waved goodbye as Liam turned around and walked back to the limousine and handed his manager his coffee. "I have got a date tonight," Liam said to Kilen. "Well, that's good did you get her name?" Kilen asked. "Her nametag said Rebecca, so I guess that's her name." Liam said. When the limo began to make its move up the street, he looked back at the cafe. Kilen watched Liam and smiled. After spending an hour in a limo, Kilen and Liam exited the car, walking into a radio station. The two were greeted by the producer of sound and the company's owner. After a brief introduction, the owner took Liam into the broadcasting room. Kilen followed Liam as they both sat down next to each other and waited for the radio station to be on the air. After a few moments, the station was now on the radio and being played across the city of Los Angeles. "We are now live with the first teenage millionaire, Liam August, who is now eighteen years old and is worth 20 million dollars." The owner of the show, Kai Suit, said while Liam rolled his eyes at the introduction. "It is an honor to be on the show this morning," Liam responded. As the interview was on the radio, Rebecca had listened while serving guests. She paid attention to the words, not the television. When she saw the boy, she remembered that he was in the cafe yesterday and today. Rebecca heard that he wanted a normal life other than stardom, but the age Liam was, it was far too late to be free. Rebecca watched the interview until it finished. Before she was off of work, she walked down the sidewalk at night alone. That was when she heard footsteps behind her and walked faster. She was terrified to turn around until Liam's car came around the corner. "This was a terrible night." Liam stated as the car came into a holt. The men in the car had come out of both doors to see Rebecca walking in the freezing snow. When she looked ahead, Rebecca was met with concerned stares by Liam and his driver. Meanwhile, Liam was the first one to exit the car and run to Rebecca to get her into the warm car, laying her down on the seat and closed the door. When Rebecca caught conciseness, she noticed she wasn't at her house. In shock, she sat up in the bed and saw a big room she was in. When Rebecca was fully awake, she rubbed her eyes, looking around the room. The door had opened as Liam himself brought hot chocolate to Rebecca. When she grabbed the hot chocolate, she smiled, thanking him. In response, he placed his hand on Rebecca's forehead, making sure that she didn't have a cold. "Are you alright? You seemed to have passed out and were close to catching an ear infection. A nurse will be in the room soon," Liam said. "Yeah, I'm fine. I have just been really cold," Rebecca said. "Well, you can't shower yet, so I'll bring you some clothes." Liam said, pushing his white hair back. "Thank you. I'm sorry I didn't catch your name when I met you at the cafe." "You can just call me Liam, let me get you some fresh clothes and some more tea. I'll be right back." Liam said as he walked away after closing the door. Rebecca sighed as she placed the cup down and examined the room. It was big and clean. She then heard a female and male voice outside of the room while she was sitting on the bed. Did Liam have parents? Rebecca thought that was a serious answer she needed to know but then she heard more footsteps and her room door closed. More footsteps passed as Rebecca decided this was the time to get up and take a shower now. So, she went and turned on the warm water and hopped inside of the shower. When the shower was finished, she sat back down on the bed. Rebecca then saw the boy with white hair again. Liam was always making sure people were okay. He raised the hot chocolate to her as she began to drink some. "You can stay here for as long as you need to. I heard about your mother." Liam said as Rebecca exhaled, since it was a touchy subject at the moment. "Do you want to come down for dinner? It's just me and you are here." Rebecca sighed as she nodded, walking down the stairs to hear maids and butlers whispering. "Hello." Rebecca said as she looked at the male and female maid. "Oh, welcome Miss Rebecca, it's nice to finally meet you," the maid said, smiling at the girl. "You as well um do you have anything to snack on? I'm a bit hungry right now." Rebecca said as the maid gasped. "Of course, let me go ahead and fix you something to eat." The maid smiled, running to the kitchen, leaving Rebecca as Liam walked down the stairs with Kai. "You're awake? How are you feeling?" Kai asked. "I'm feeling good." Rebecca smiled. "Well, I made some soup and I have some crackers also to keep you warm," the maid said. "Thank you but I already have some soup." Rebecca smiled. "Oh, that's good! I'm Amelia, by the way," the maid had said. "It's really nice to meet you." Rebecca shook the maid's hand. Before the girls could continue, Kai cleared his throat. "I'm sorry to interrupt but Madeline has an interview tomorrow," Kai said, as Liam nodded. "What interview?" Madeline asked. "Everyone wants to see who Liam saved on the news. They want photos and conferences." Kai said as Liam looked at him. "Can we wait if she just lost her mother, at least give her a day to adjust and move in?" Kai mentioned. "I'm sorry you want me to move in to do interviews for you. And then you want me to go and act like you're my savior?" Rebecca asked. "The media wants you to," Kai said, as Liam went to the fridge and opened a box of salmon. "I don't think that's edible, Mr. Liam," Kai said, as Rebecca agreed with him. "Who cares, I'm just hungry right now." Liam shrugged as Rebecca took the box and threw it away. "Hey! I was eating that." Liam said as Rebecca shrugged. "It does not look good to eat right now. Come on, let's go shopping!" "Shopping at night, are you insane? It's twelve-o'clock in the morning!" Liam said. "Fine then I'll go by myself." Madeline said, walking to the front door as Liam walked behind her and put her on the couch, looking at her. "You shouldn't go outside by yourself, you could become sick and probably be sick," Liam said as he ordered fresh salmon, sitting on the couch. "What did you do?" Madeline asked. "Order everything, we need to cook tonight." Liam said. "Really you're that lazy?" Madeline asked, as Liam shrugged. "I just never liked going outside like usual. Mostly because my friends all decided to go into the writing field, so I don't hang out with people much." Liam yawned. "Oh, I'm sorry." Madeline responded. "Don't be," Liam said as he walked to the door to grab the groceries. When the two made sure the ingredients were in the bag, they began to cook. Kai looked at the two and smiled. He then looked at the streaming equipment and smiled. "Alright, people on social media want to know that you're alright, so I got the set up ready." Kai said as Liam rolled his eyes. "Don't you think it's too late for this? It's eight o' clock in the afternoon," Liam responded. "It's fine, I'm okay with it." Madeline smiled. During the stream, the two began to cook and make jokes, enjoying each other's company. Madeline watched Kai adjust the camera as the chat on the stream asked a question to the two of them. "Are you guys dating?" At first, Madeline thought nothing of it until Liam had addressed it. "Getting to know each other, yes, but dating might take a bit of time." Liam said to the camera as the food was almost ready. After a few minutes, the food was cooked and taken care of. When it was finally done Madeline tried it and nodded her head. "This actually tastes really good. You should try and make this dish more often." Madeline said, as the camera then turned off after the fake couple had said goodbye. Liam relaxed and so did Kai as Madeline sat on the couch close to falling asleep. After cleaning up, there was a sleeping Madeline on the couch when Kai left, so Liam picked her up and took her upstairs. He noticed that she had a fever and felt bad that during the stream no one had known. He then tucked Madeline inside of the covers and began to stroke her hair until her body showed that it was asleep. Once he looked at Madeline he smiled and laid down and went to bed. The next morning, Kai was asleep, and Madeline was next to him. When she had awoken, Madeline looked up at a sleeping Kai. She thought for a moment about what happened last night, then looked at the streaming channel on her phone. Her eyes widened because of the amount of viewership which was on the app. At first, she thought it was a lie until she saw the number of followers also. She couldn't think how many people saw her face. When Madeline looked outside of her window, Liam had moved to her neck, making her whimper due to Liam's breathing. Madeline stayed in the position she was in while Liam continued moving around her neck. Finally, Madeline had pushed him off of her a bit as she walked downstairs to see the maids cleaning and Liam's parents reading the newspaper. Liam's parents looked at Madeline as she smiled and waved. "Goodmorning" Madeline said as Liam's parents said good morning back before exiting the house. Madeline looked at the kitchen thinking about making breakfast until the maids had beat her to it. She shrugged it off and went to explore the mansion. The mansion was big at the time. Madeline wondered why Liam would need the money to pay for all of this when it was just him and his parents. She found it strange, since most rich families are large ones who only live in mansions. Madeline then made her way into the bowling alley room, then the pool table. That was when she heard footsteps coming down the stairs and to see Liam awake from bed. He looked more energized than usual, which was a good thing. He then looked at Madeline as his eyebrows had risen. "You are awake early. Most girls sleep in," Liam said. "Well, I have work later on, so I have to be awake today." Madeline smiled. Liam looked at her as he took a sip of his coffee. "Well, maybe you should be more cautious about waking up early. You almost fell out of bed." Liam smiled. "I mean I am a rough sleeper," Madeline laughed. "Yeah, I noticed, so you wanna play one on one in pool or what?" Liam asked Madeline. Madeline looked at Liam and then began to concentrate on the ball. Then she grabbed her pool stick, hitting it, making a pocket. After a few moments it was Liam's turn. ” So, whoever wins gets to choose who goes to choose the next food we try?” Liam asked. "Of course!" Madeline. When Madeline looked at the ball, she had concentrated very closely. When Madeline was about to hit the ball, she felt a hand wrap around her hair. She was a bit startled as her hair was moved to the side. "You're doing great." Liam said, as she was embarrassed, hitting the 8th ball into the pocket but was followed by the white ball. "Really that's cheating." Madeline smiled as she looked at the views on the stream waving goodbye at the camera. Liam looked at the camera smiling as the live ended. "So, that was fun!" Madeline said. "It's not over yet, I have to take you shopping for some new clothes and something new for you to wear." Liam said, looking at his phone. The two walked out of the pool room and to a closet inside of the house. Madeline looked at the closet as she smiled when going inside. "So, what's your taste?" Liam asked, as Madeline looked at him for a moment. "My taste. What do you mean by that?" "Well, you need to go and find it since I know you're going to try some clothes out before the interview." Liam smiled as Madeline went inside of the closet to see many luxury dresses and coats. She felt sad because she had never had this before in her life. She then found something simple and tried it on. "Here you go. How about this?" she asked Liam while his eyes widened. Madeline wore a blonde two-piece jogging outfit with white shoes. Once Liam and everyone were ready, Madeline and Liam walked to the limo on their way to the radio station.
