CHAPTER 1 BRITTANY'S POV: "No Dad! I want to change school" I said angrily to my Dad who kept insisting I go back to Bixler High. "Young lady you won't tell me what to do… My decision is final" my Dad replied. "Urrgh Dad! I'm not going back to that school" I said. "Then get ready to be home-schooled" My Dad replied and sipped his coffee. "Honey, there's no way I'll let that happen" Mum chirped in. "What do you mean by that" my Dad asked. "How can you suggest our daughter get home-schooled?" Mum asked. "What's wrong with that decision" Dad asked. "Honey, just let her change school please.. She said she doesn't want to continue in Bixler so let it be" Mum said.. Thanks Mum "And why will I do that?" Dad asked "Because I said so and I know you'll do anything for me" Mum replied with a calm voice. "What a corny way to bribe me" Dad said and chuckled. "I know right" Mum replied all smiles. "Young Lady you owe your mum" Dad said to me. "Thanks Mum... You're the best" I said as I hugged Mum. "Anything for my Darling" Mum replied and pecked my chin. "What about us?" My elder sister Cassey asked. "Oh well.. You're all my Darlings" Mum replied. Later In The Evening.... "Hi Dad" I said as Dad walked in with some documents. "Hey kiddo" Dad replied. "Hey honey welcome back... What's that in your hand?" Mum asked. "Oh this? They're forms that Brittany has to fill for her new school" Dad replied. "You found a school for me?" I asked "Yeah...didn't you say to want to change school?" Dad asked back "Yes I did but... Never mind" I replied. "What's the name of her new school Dad?" My elder brother- Cory asked. "The name of Brittany's new school is Dashville High" Dad replied. "Wow... I haven't heard of that school before" Cory said. "Same here… Do they have a golf course?" I asked "Not at all" Dad said. "Phew... That's much better" I replied. Bixler High had a golf course and I never liked it at all but knowing that this new school doesn't have one is such a relief *************************** Monday Morning:........ "Hurry up Brittany! You don't want to be late on your first day" Mum said as I scurried downstairs and grabbed a bite of sandwich. "Morning Mum" I greeted . "Won't you have breakfast?" Mum asked. "I'll skip this one.. I'm already running late.. Love you mum" I said as I left the house . "Love you too hun" Mum replied. * * "Morning Josh" I greeted the driver as I entered the car. "Morning Brittany... Are you set for school?" He asked. "Sure" I replied as he manoeuvred the car out of the garage and zoomed off. The ride was a smooth one but long one... Just when I thought we were almost there the car stopped abruptly. "Ouch!" I exclaimed in pains as I hit my head on the driver's seat. "Brittany are you okay?" The driver asked. Why did the car stop abruptly? Is Brittany okay? Will she be able to get to school on time? We'll find out in Chapter 2
