Expanded Synopsis"My Husband" is a slow-burning romantic drama that explores arranged marriage, emotional restraint, and the rediscovery of love in unexpected places.Chit Tho Tho, a 24-year-old woman raised in a modest but loving home, has always held onto the dream of finding a soulmate - someone who would sweep her off her feet with heartfelt passion. Yet despite her beauty, intelligence, and charm, love has always remained a distant dream. Reserved in nature, she has never truly opened her heart to anyone. When her mother urges her into a marriage arrangement with Kan Bar, the son of her childhood best friend, Tho Tho finds herself torn. Kan Bar is older, emotionally distant, and still carries the weight of a past love he cannot forget. But bound by her mother's only wish and the pressure of being a dutiful daughter, Tho Tho quietly agrees to a marriage that promises comfort - but not necessarily love.Kan Bar, now 34, is a man of few words and great success. As the owner of a chain of businesses including the high-end "Memory" department store and hotel, he lives a structured, disciplined life. He is haunted by the memory of his first love, a woman he has never truly let go of. His decision to marry Tho Tho is not one of passion but of practicality - to satisfy family expectations and secure his future.Their marriage begins in secrecy and emotional distance. At work, they present themselves as strangers. At home, silence fills the space between them. But slowly, in the quietest of moments - a shared meal, an accidental touch, a late-night conversation - their connection begins to shift.Tho Tho begins to see glimpses of tenderness behind Kan Bar's cold demeanor, while Kan Bar finds himself drawn to her purity, spirit, and quiet strength. As feelings deepen, so do the complications - with Kan Bar's unresolved past and the pressures of appearances threatening to destroy what little they are building. Will they allow love to grow from this arranged beginning, or will they remain strangers bound only by a ring?---Main Character ProfilesChit Tho ThoAge: 24Personality: Gentle, introverted, dreamy, principled, emotionally intelligentBackground: Raised by a single mother, Tho Tho has grown up valuing love, loyalty, and emotional truth. My Husband
“What...?” Tho Tho whispered in shock, her voice barely audible, eyes widening as if trying to grasp an impossible truth. From the side, her aunt chuckled softly and added, “It’s true, darling. Your mom’s best friend, Aunt May Kabar, asked for help. She’s worried her precious, well-behaved son might never settle down and the family name could just vanish…” Before Tho Tho could gather her thoughts, her mother, the elegant and poised Daw Chit Tho Myint Mor, joined the conversation. “Yes, sweetheart. Aunt May Kabar has always been my closest friend. When she asked, I simply couldn’t refuse. She says she can’t trust anyone else to take care of her son but you. And you know, her son—Kan Bar—is doing so well. No bad habits, no faults at all... He’s the perfect man.” Tho Tho was stunned. “So... you want me to marry my boss, Mom? Seriously?” Her temples began to throb. Though she had known Kan Bar since childhood, as she grew older, she naturally drifted away from him. Especially after joining a private high school and later university, their lives had completely diverged. She’d occasionally seen him during holidays when visiting Aunt May, but Kan Bar was always busy with work, distant and cold. She had even heard rumors that he had recently gone through a painful breakup. As fate would have it, she ended up choosing hospitality as her field of study and pursued her degree at MHM University. Fresh out of college, she joined Memory Hotel for an internship. But due to Aunt May’s constant nudging, she was placed not just anywhere—but right in the office of the company’s CEO: her childhood acquaintance, Kan Bar. Now she was serving as an intern under his secretary. Pulled from her tangled thoughts, Tho Tho turned to her mother with a question. “Does he even agree to this marriage, Mom?” Meanwhile, in a separate room, Kan Bar’s voice was calm but firm. “This isn’t happening, Mom. That girl is still just a kid. We’re not even close. We barely talk. There’s no relationship at all. She’s just an intern under my secretary.” But his mother wasn’t giving up so easily. “Darling, of course you’re distant—it’s because life has pulled you two apart. But don’t forget, you adored her when she was little. And if someone is cold, it just means they need warmth. I trust only you with her, son. I love that girl like a daughter. You know I’ve always wished for a daughter… this is our chance.” She patted him on the back and smiled. “I’ll invite Tho Tho over this weekend. You two can talk. You’ll see—she’s grown up beautifully.” As she walked out of the room, Kan Bar sat silently, lost in thought. What should he do? Could he forget his first love? He didn't love Tho Tho. He didn’t even want to marry her. She was ten years younger. Could such a marriage ever succeed? And another question burned in his mind: What if Tho Tho already had someone else in her heart? Morning rain tapped gently against the window. But inside Kan Bar’s mind, a storm had already begun...
