I push the back door of Shays open, my bag pack in hand. I was leaving for school the Christmas break finally over. My plan for switching to the online classes was halted with the recent turn of events. Everything was at last falling back to place. Amber and I were alright. She was back and I was happy.
I smile pressing on the car keys. I couldn’t wait till I saw her and talk to her. Listen to her melodic voice as she talks on about things. Breathing life into my words she says.
